\/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Nigeria<br \/>\nReports to: Area Sales Manager (ASM)<\/p>\n<p>Function: Sales<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A key contributor to the success of our performance ambition is an effective &amp; flexible field sales force demonstrating industry leadership in both volume driving &amp; retail trade development.<\/li>\n<li>The Retail Development Manager (RDM) is the entry level for sales and commercial talent in Guinness Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>Working alongside other RDMs and Business Development Managers (BDMs) in a geographical area; the role reports to an Area Sales Manager (ASM).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Purpose of Role<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supports the business in the achievement of performance objectives through the effective management of a designated sales territory including implementation of all sales activities\/programmes in the retail sales territory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures achievement of the Diageo sales drivers (Quality, Distribution, Visibility, Promotion, Price and Persuasion) at all outlets within territory coverage<\/li>\n<li>Ensures effective customer\/consumer relationship management and business development in trade<\/li>\n<li>Gain important consumer and trade insights and share with relevant internal teams<\/li>\n<li>Excellent execution of promotions, ensuring that promotional activity is in the right outlets and well managed<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring the retail redistribution standards are adhered to by distributors and Van Sales Men (VSM)<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for Point of Sale (POS) materials, Chillers, Light signs, etc deployed in retail outlets within sales territory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Graduate with minimum of 1 year commercial expertise gained in Field Sales or Consumer Marketing<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of the total alcoholics drinks market<\/li>\n<li>Brilliant persuasive selling skills<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills written and verbal<\/li>\n<li>High degree of integrity<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Geographically mobile &#8211; must be ready and willing to work in any location in the country<\/li>\n<li>Experienced driver with valid license<\/li>\n<li>Good computer appreciation skills<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurial mind-set and good business acumen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Barriers to Success in Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Essential to spend time in the Field with customers and consumers-essential to stay in touch with the market and the competition<\/li>\n<li>Unwillingness to flex schedule to align with business hours of retailers and distributors.<\/li>\n<li>Low level of drive or personal leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Working options<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Based in a defined geographical area.<\/li>\n<li>100 % Field Based<\/li>\n<li>Some travel to Divisional Office essential.<\/li>\n<li>Willing to work weekends and late nights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application
