The company\u2019s operations are concentrated in the Niger Delta and adjoining shallow offshore areas where it operates in an oil mining lease area of around 30,000 square kilometres.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently recruiting to fill the following position<\/p>\n<p><strong>Title:<\/strong>\u00a0Front End Project Well \/ Snr Well\u00a0Engineer<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos, Nigeria<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skill Group:<\/strong>\u00a0Wells<br \/>\nReference ID: 2080BR<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities :<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for planning wells to achieve Best in Class\u00a0performance and\u00a0production rate in Bonga Southwest and Bonga North projects while maintaining the Health Safety and Enviroment safe practices.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring adherence to the Global Well Delivery Process (and rDtL methodology) and effectively manage theinterface\u00a0between the various stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and own the well cost and\u00a0schedule\u00a0estimate appropriate to the project phase using internal, regional and global data for top quartile benchmarks.<\/li>\n<li>Provide Wells input to various project deliverables and control documents- including but not limited to Field Development Plan, Basis for Design, Value Improvement plan, Management of Change, Well\u00a0Proposals,Environmental Impact\u00a0Assessment, Risk and Opportunity register,\u00a0Interface\u00a0management.<\/li>\n<li>Champion the company Wells Design Standard to ensure standardization of well concept and interchangeability of equipment across the project.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical input to the\u00a0selection\u00a0of appropriate rig\u00a0selection\u00a0to carry out the well execution program. This includes technical justification for top hole drilling vessel and upper completion opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to various technical tenders, develop the technical specification and progress the following specialized tenders from tender initiation to contract award: Intelligent Wells products and\u00a0services, Expandable Completion products, OCTG Production and Injection Tubing and Sand Exclusion Screens.<\/li>\n<li>Coach and mentor younger Wells staff in the Well Delivery Process in accordance with the Wells Framework<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Science Degree in\u00a0Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 10-12 years Well Engineering experience with at least 3 years in completions<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated success in a technical Deep Water Drilling\/CWI position is required<\/li>\n<li>Skill in floating, DeepWater Well operations<\/li>\n<li>Skill in DeepWater Well design &amp; programming and the application of DCAF.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in operations logistics and materials<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the application of QA\/QC\u00a0processes\u00a0and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Good working knowledge and experience with the standard suite of well\u00a0engineering\u00a0software including:<\/li>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li>WellCat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Prosper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>EDM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Well Plan for Windows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Stress Check<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Closing Date:<\/strong>\u00a013-Nov-2013<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Click here to apply\" href=\"https:\/\/krb-sjobs.brassring.com\/tgwebhost\/jobdetails.aspx?partnerid=30030&amp;siteid=5798&amp;jobid=689098\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shell Petroleum Development Company\u00a0(SPDC) is the pioneer and leader of the petroleum industry in Nigeria.
