{"id":24176,"date":"2014-06-19T08:29:07","date_gmt":"2014-06-19T07:29:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=24176"},"modified":"2014-06-19T08:29:07","modified_gmt":"2014-06-19T07:29:07","slug":"fg-train-28800-youths-ict-naijacloud-initiative-nationwide-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/fg-train-28800-youths-ict-naijacloud-initiative-nationwide-news.html","title":{"rendered":"FG to Train 28,800 Youths on ICT Under Naijacloud Initiative &#8211; Nationwide: News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000033;\">The Ministry Communication Technology is to train 800 youths in each of the 36 states, on Information and Communication Technology (ICT).<\/span><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000033;\">The Minister, Mrs Omobola Johnson, gave the assurance yesterday in Lagos at a meeting with the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce.<\/span><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000033;\">Johnson said that the training, to begin soon, was initiated by the ministry under its Naijacloud programme.<\/span><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000033;\">She said that about 28,000 youths nationwide would be trained under the programme.<\/span><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000033;\">The Naijacloud initiative was inaugurated in March, 2013, to create jobs in micro work, e-lancing and programming.<\/span><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000033;\">&#8220;Naijacloud has trained up to 2,000 potential IT professionals in Lagos and Abuja under various platforms. After three weeks, they started earning money; now, we are moving to train 800 youths in each of the states.<\/span><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000033;\">The number might look small, but it is attracting attention of the western world &#8211; Europe, and others. The U.S. is willing to partner with us.
