There will be challenges on supplier capacity and lead times that will need proactive management.<\/span><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><strong style=\"color: #000033;\">Essential Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"color: #000033;\">\n<li>Support costing activities in the tender stage and follow through in the execution phase.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate, manage and issue required Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO) for assigned commodity\/project.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate to achieve best price, with the right quality, on time, for all PO\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate savings based on budgetary input and\/or departmental goals<\/li>\n<li>Ensure issues related to supplier fulfillment are managed proactively not only for own commodity but also including assigned team members.<\/li>\n<li>Develop profile for supplier capability\/capacity, by commodity, to establish sourcing strategies for maximum leverage.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate and\/or lead supplier manufacturability discussions with the appropriate stakeholders (suppliers, GE- engineering, projects, sourcing quality, and quality assurance)<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with requesting departments to resolve problems relating to requirements, deviations, substitutions, priorities, delays, damages, inferior quality or other conditions that deviate from established procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain current market knowledge and changing material conditions and advise management of current trends in prices and purchasing availability.<\/li>\n<li>Drive sourcing initiatives on savings, supplier performance and supplier base rationalization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #000033;\">Qualifications\/Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"color: #000033;\">\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree (in Business or Technical discipline preferred) with 4 years experience related to Sourcing, Logistics and Projects<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of AS400, ePims and SIMON systems is required.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.<\/li>\n<li>Strong negotiation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to be a self-starter and team-builder.<\/li>\n<li>A valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required.<\/li>\n<li>Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in Nigeria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #000033;\">Additional Eligibility Qualifications:<br \/>\nDesired Characteristics:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"color: #000033;\">\n<li>Strong oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Proven analytical and problem solving skills, with sound judgment and a diplomatic attitude<\/li>\n<li>Highly motivated team member<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #000033;\">Application Closing Date<\/strong><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000033;\">Not Stated<\/span><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><strong style=\"color: #000033;\">How to Apply<\/strong><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000033;\">Interested candidates should<\/span><br style=\"color: #000033;\" \/><a style=\"color: #000099;\" href=\"http:\/\/jobs.gecareers.com\/job\/Onne-Sourcing-Specialist-Job\/69870200\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GE Oil &amp;
