{"id":2442,"date":"2009-12-23T07:22:26","date_gmt":"2009-12-23T06:22:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=2442"},"modified":"2010-10-21T11:14:29","modified_gmt":"2010-10-21T10:14:29","slug":"ibm-nigeria-it-specialist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/ibm-nigeria-it-specialist.html","title":{"rendered":"IBM Nigeria Jobs: IT Specialist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2443\" title=\"ibm\" src=\"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/ibm.gif\" alt=\"ibm\" width=\"110\" height=\"59\" \/><strong>IBM Nigeria<\/strong> is recruting for an <strong>IT Specialist<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>IT Specialist<br \/>\nBased permanently in Nigeria<br \/>\nFull-time<br \/>\nTravel\u00a0 up to 25%; travelling 2 days a week, home on weekends<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This role specializes in performing problem determination and problem source identification in software environments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include<\/strong>: \u2013 problem analysis, evaluation, recreation, and resolution of customer reported problems \u2013 the use of relevant problem management systems to search for known problems and to create new entries\/update existing entries \u2013 advice and guidance to customers regarding the use of software \u2013 the use of IBM technical resources and tools to answer customer questions and respond to customers requirements Software environments include operating systems, programming languages, database management systems, packages, development tools<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors Degree<\/li>\n<li>At least 6 months experience in Customer Relationship and Support<\/li>\n<li>At least 6 months experience in Communication and Interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years experience in AIX System and Support<\/li>\n<li>English: Fluent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 1 year experience in Customer Relationship and Support<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 year experience in Communication and Interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years experience in AIX System and Support<\/li>\n<li>Certified in Information Technology<\/li>\n<li>Additional informationMust have good listening skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to consistently demonstrate tact, courtesy, reliability, and maturity while carrying out assigned duties.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work in a team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible and accountable for all actions.
