Employees in this role drive IBM revenue. They act as a technical consultant to our customers and remove technical inhibitors to the sale of IBM products, solutions and services. This Specialist assures a solution\u2019s technical feasibility, qualifies opportunities, understands customer business and technical environments, ensures successful installation and drives implementation planning.<\/p>\n

When engaged for a specific opportunity, they are responsible for the technical accuracy of the proposed solution, service, project, or enhancement.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities also include<\/strong>\u2013 articulate technical benefits of IBM\u2019s products, solutions and services to all levels in customer\u2019s organization; develop IBM product expertise needed to technically differentiate from and position against competition; design solutions \/ prove solution capabilities; address technical issues and objections; tailor and present demos; compare and contrast product models, features, and functions; manage and coordinate pilots and trials; assist with Beta and other Early Programs; ensure customer readiness for products and solutions & assist with Solution Assurance; ensure complete implementation planning; ensure successful solution installation; ensure customer satisfaction and drive effective handling of critical situations and complaints as required; identify new opportunities, drive new workloads and encourage use of on demand technology and assist with capacity planning and performance analysis studies if required.<\/p>\n
