\nProcess Improvement
\n\u2022Implement CI programmes to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness per terminal.
\n\u2022Identify methods and products to develop and\/or improve standard operating procedures to best practice levels
\n\u2022Work alongside the COO and their team to identify opportunities for improvement and to reduce waste in processes.
\n\u2022Write business proposals where capital expenditures are required and support with financial, safety and efficiency improvement evaluations as applicable.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Develop systems to ensure ongoing improvement of processes in the terminal.
\n\u2022Create improvement pipeline of projects classified and prioritised for implementation.
\n\u2022Ensure proper management control systems and continuous improvement plans are in place to maintain focus and review with project owners on a regular basis.
\n\u2022Propose, agree, and deliver improvement activities as determined every year with the terminal management teams.
\n\u2022Assists the terminal management teams in developing projects designed to meet and maintain the terminal\u2019s KPI\u2019s.
\n\u2022Critically assess and report the financial implications of process improvement initiatives.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Share ad-hoc best practices between locations as arising.<\/p>\n
\nKnowledge:
\n\u2022In-depth understanding of container terminal operations.
\n\u2022Lean training and implementation experience essential. (Lean Master or PEX Black Belt, or equivalent.)
\n\u2022TPM and Six Sigma training and experience advantageous.
\n\u2022Strong understanding of process improvement and process mapping techniques<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Experience of identifying, quantifying, initiating, leading and delivering process improvement programmes.
\n\u2022Experience working with management, employees, and customers, managing change and delivering improvements.
\n\u2022Effective negotiation, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
\n\u2022Comfortable with financial procedures, reporting tools, and methods to be able to quantify financial benefits from initiatives
\n\u2022Strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyse data, and represent key findings to other stakeholders.
\n\u2022English oral, written communications, and report writing skills critical.
\n\u2022French oral and written skills advantageous.<\/p>\n
