We want to create a &#8220;Win-Win&#8221; scenario each and every day for local merchants who want to attract new customers, and consumers who want to save money and take advantage great services and activities in their own city<\/p>\n<p>Dealdey Limited is recruiting to fill the position of:<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Job Title: <\/strong><strong>Commodity Trader<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Ref: DD\/PRD\/CMT\/0714<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Lagos<br \/>\nReports to: Head of Products<br \/>\nFunction: Purchasing\/Products<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This role is responsible for planning and selecting a range of products to sell in order to capture market share taking into consideration customer demand, price, quality, availability, timeliness, market trends and financial budgets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Find the right suppliers of quality products<\/li>\n<li>Place orders for merchandise based on accurate analysis with planner<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all suppliers meet up with lead-time delivery<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for total sale of all inventory purchased<\/li>\n<li>Maintain relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones<\/li>\n<li>Attend trade events<\/li>\n<li>Procure quality merchandise at the right price, within the right amount of time<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate best possible prices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/ Skills<\/strong><br \/>\nKnowledge, Skills and Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position requires a University graduate or its equivalent with at least 0-1 year experience in Inventory\/Operational\/Logistics side of retail, E-commerce or in a similar position<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of retail math and concepts, highly detail-oriented and extremely organized<\/li>\n<li>Great negotiation skills and ability to network and influence people<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel at very short notice<\/li>\n<li>Candidate must possess ability to multi task in a dynamic environment<\/li>\n<li>A good understanding of inventory procedures would give added advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following skills are essential:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analytical ability<\/li>\n<li>Creative imagination and problem solving<\/li>\n<li>Must be Computer Literate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Closing Date <\/strong><br \/>\n30th December, 2014.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method of Application<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV as an email attachment with the subject <strong>&#8220;Commodity Trader &#8211; DD\/PRD\/CMT\/0714&#8221;<\/strong> to: <a href=\"mailto:jobs@dealdey.com\"><strong>jobs@dealdey.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Only shortlisted candidates would be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DealDey is always on the lookout for young, vibrant and talented individuals with an unmatched drive.\u00a0Launched in March 2011, DealDey features a daily deal on the best things to do,&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":20656,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[32],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
