JOB DESCRIPTION\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>
\nThe Job Holder supports the Country\u2019s mining operations through the identification and verification of potential and new areas for present and future exploration. The job holder will also handle all geological related operations for the provision and supply of all raw materials needed for cement production, according to Lafarge\u2019s safety practices and procedures.<\/p>\n

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>
\n\u2013 Coordinate the quarry lifetime calculations<\/span>, reserves\/deposits identification in terms of quantity and quality (Block Models)
\n\u2013 Supervise processes of measurement and inventory of overburdens, deposits
\n\u2013 Supervise exploration drilling activity
\n\u2013 Ensure<\/span> all EL areas are mapped for drilling campaigns
\n\u2013 Ensure all records regarding exploration and drilling campaigns are properly kept
\n\u2013 Cooperation with Lafarge TC spe\u2026ts
\n\u2013 Any duties as assigned by the Head of Geo-mining<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL & DESIRABLE SKILLS\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>
\nTechnical:
\n\u2013 Proficient use of geology tools\/software (GPS, AutoCAD<\/span>, MineCard)
\n\u2013 Knowledge of Limestone Chemistry and quality control tools
\n\u2013 Knowledge of the Mining Plan.
\n\u2013 Knowledge of Mines regulations, safety laws, and specific environmental constraints
\n\u2013 Knowledge of project management methods
\n\u2013 Ability to use MS Word, Excel and Projects<\/p>\n

Non-Technical:
\n\u2013 Good team player
\n\u2013 Working knowledge of cement manufacturing processes
\n\u2013 Commitment to the highest standards of safe<\/span> work habits
\n\u2013 Good knowledge of safety laws and regulations
\n\u2013 Very good written and communication skills
\n\u2013 Able to take and apply initiative
