{"id":252,"date":"2009-09-18T11:45:22","date_gmt":"2009-09-18T10:45:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=252"},"modified":"2014-01-11T21:20:51","modified_gmt":"2014-01-11T20:20:51","slug":"construction-supervisor-brunel-energy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/construction-supervisor-brunel-energy.html","title":{"rendered":"Construction Supervisor: Brunel Energy Jobs in Nigeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-178\" title=\"brunel\" src=\"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/brunel.jpg\" alt=\"brunel\" width=\"93\" height=\"29\" \/>Brunel<\/strong> Technical Services is owned by Brunel International NV and forms part of the <strong>Brunel Energy<\/strong> division, that specialises in the provision of personnel, predominately to the Petrochemical, Power Generating, Onshore \/ Offshore Oil &amp; Gas and General Industrial Construction Industries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brunel Energy<\/strong> is currently recruiting a <strong>Construction Superintendent \/ Supervisor<\/strong>.Job Number: 24114, Contract period: 1 year renewable<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organisation: Department:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited<br \/>\nMobil House, Lekki Expressway,<br \/>\nVictoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria<\/p>\n<p>Candidate will possess extensive knowledge of and experience in project management, budgeting, cost estimating, project planning, and cost forecasting requirements of ExxonMobil<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities (Duties Performed):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project Execution<\/li>\n<li>Review and endorsement of construction safety, quality and construction plans.<\/li>\n<li>Review and endorsement of organization plans for the construction phase of the projects.<\/li>\n<li>Work with Construction Manager to ensure projects are appropriately staff for the construction phase.<\/li>\n<li>Review updates to the Construction Management System.<\/li>\n<li>Regularly report to Project Engineering Design and Implementation Manager and Construction Manager on all project status.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the performance of contractors during construction phase and meet with contractor management for discussion on project issues and status<\/li>\n<li>Implement and plan the construction phase execution strategies, resource planning, contractors monitoring and oversight programs.<\/li>\n<li>Work with Construction Engineer to ensure all work activities are carried out to construction work scope.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Construction Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement project safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives during the construction, commissioning and startup phase.<\/li>\n<li>Daily interface with construction contractors to ensure alignment with Contract obligation, technical specification and terms and conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure knowledge in MPN Safety, Work Management Procedures and SIMOPS Manuals and appropriated integrated in projects.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that MPN contractor oversight plans (QA\/QC, safety, etc.) are in place prior to start of construction.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure required QA\/QC systems are in place and that adequate staff are assigned to projects.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure construction lessons learned are documented and reported.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure commission, startup and handover to Operations and Maintenance plans and procedures are implemented.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective project closeout.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure contractor sub-contractors are screened and approved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Leadership Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support and communicate MPN corporate policies, practices and goals.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and steward group mission and visions, objectives and priorities, job descriptions and individual personal objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership, supervision, construction technical guidance and mentoring to personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure monthly safety meetings are conducted.<\/li>\n<li>Provide regular and constructive feedback to individuals.
