The programme aims to inspire, encourage and support young people aged 18-35 to start their own businesses through the provision of training and finance for young entrepreneurs.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n2015 Shell LiveWIRE Nigeria Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The objectives for the LiveWIRE programme are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enable youths to establish businesses through the provision of business planning and management guidelines and skills through the \u2018Become a Successful Business Owner Course\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Provide business start-up grants for candidates with the best business plans.<\/li>\n<li>Link successful candidates to third parties like banks, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and allied financial institutions.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a volunteer mentoring programme for successful candidates who decide to<\/li>\n<li>Set-up their own businesses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Programme Content<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pre-start up:- Value and Organize Yourself (VOY)<\/li>\n<li>Bright Ideas workshop<\/li>\n<li>Business Planning &amp; Management (Become a Successful Business Owner)<\/li>\n<li>Business Start-up (Access to finance &amp; technology)<\/li>\n<li>Post start up (Mentoring, Incubation, Market linkages)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Applications Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Male and female applicants from Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta States aged between 18-35<\/li>\n<li>Must possess a University degree or HND<\/li>\n<li>Must be resident in state of application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Start Date<\/strong><br \/>\nTuesday 1st September 2015.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nApplication Closing Date<\/strong><br \/>\nMonday 14th September, 2015.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nHow to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.livewire-nigeria.org\/home\/2015-livewire-nigeria-apply-now\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>Shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email ONLY (confirm)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), operator of the NNPC\/Shell\/Total\/Agip Joint Venture (SPDC JV) announces the commencement of the 2015 Shell LiveWIRE Nigeria Programme.
