You will also need to be prepared to take on real responsibility right from the start.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Role Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ideal candidate will be charged with the responsibility of collecting current and outstanding WHT from clients, prompt reporting of balances and reconciliation of WHT ledgers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain a credit database of clients<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a listing of all outstanding receivables and non- receipted withholding taxes<\/li>\n<li>Collect un-receipted withholding taxes from client<\/li>\n<li>Prepare letters to clients on un-receipted withholding taxes older than 60 days<\/li>\n<li>Follow through with client contact persons and pick up cheques or withholding tax credit notes<\/li>\n<li>Investigate un-receipted withholding taxes disputed by client for prompt resolution and posting clearing them from the job ledgers<\/li>\n<li>Apply credit notes and WHT cheques received from client to ledgers<\/li>\n<li>Monthly remittance of withholding taxes paid with fee by client to Revenue Authority<\/li>\n<li>Forward all withholding tax receipt to unit Administrators for onward remittance to clients once credit notes is received<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and process monthly provision schedules for un-receipted withholding taxes over 90days<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile unreceipted WHT provision ledger to listing<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile Receipted WHT ledger to Physical credit notes monthly<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and send monthly breakdown of un-receipted withholding taxes to Partner and Manager groups<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and send monthly statement of un-receipted withholding taxes to clients and reconcile response to job ledgers<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly collections report versus un-receipted WHT ledger balance<\/li>\n<li>Prepare reconciliation statement of un-receipted and receipted withholding taxes and agree with general ledger records<\/li>\n<li>Process Vendor WHT cheque for receipts and credit notes<\/li>\n<li>Provide relevant tax advice and statutory update as regards the administration of withholding taxes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Role Specific Competencies\/Soft Skills\/Qualification<\/strong><br \/>\nWe are currently seeking to hire exceptional graduates who have a holistic approach to tax issues and ability to view problems from all angles.<\/p>\n<p>To join our unique team, you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have an interest in a career in Taxation<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office &#8216; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Project Office, Access)<\/li>\n<li>Good Knowledge of accounting procedures<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to pay attention to details and possess excellent presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers<\/li>\n<li>Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management<\/li>\n<li>Must have an understanding of WIP and Debtors accounting procedures.<\/li>\n<li>VAT and WHT accounting Knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Partnership Tax affairs, ITF, Anti-Laundry Theft and other regulatory laws.<\/li>\n<li>B.Sc.\/HND in Accounting or any related course (minimum of 2.2\/ lower credit)<\/li>\n<li>Part\/fully qualified Accountant (ICAN, ACCA)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 1 year cognate experience in a similar position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Closing Date<\/strong><br \/>\nNot Specified.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs2\/view\/93738193?trk=vsrp_jobs_res_name&amp;trkInfo=VSRPsearchId%3A2275102231445432084807%2CVSRPtargetId%3A93738193%2CVSRPcmpt%3Aprimary\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deloitte is the largest private professional services network in the world.
