{"id":26768,"date":"2016-05-16T13:17:45","date_gmt":"2016-05-16T12:17:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=26768"},"modified":"2016-05-16T13:17:45","modified_gmt":"2016-05-16T12:17:45","slug":"social-and-behavior-change-communication-job-at-ninerela","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/social-and-behavior-change-communication-job-at-ninerela.html","title":{"rendered":"Social and Behavior Change Communication Job at NINERELA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NINERELA<\/strong> is the Association of Religious Leaders Living With or Personally Affected by HIV\/AIDS is an international interfaith network working with other national stakeholders and coalitions to achieve the set goals within the national HIV response.<br \/>\nIn 2014, Nigeria signed the HIV and AIDS Anti-Discrimination Act into law which was considered as a bold step in the fight against all forms of stigmatization and discrimination targeted at people living with HIV\/ AIDS. In response to her mandate on using faith based approach in the HIV response, NINERELA+, with the support of Christian Aid seeks to develop a simplified version of the anti-discrimination Act in a way that captures the religious backing of the message against discrimination and stigmatization as contained in the Nigerian anti-discrimination Act.<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title:\u00a0<\/b> Social and Behavior Change Communication<br \/>\n<strong>Purpose of Engagement:<\/strong><br \/>\nTo engage a Consultant to work with Key Faith-Based actors to produce BCC materials for faith leaders and faith-based groups \u00a0for Stigma Reduction using relevant sections of the Anti-discrimination Act supported by sessions from the Bible and Qur&#8217;an<\/p>\n<p>TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE CONSULTANT<br \/>\n<strong>Tasks for the consultant<\/strong><br \/>\nCollaborate with NINERELA+ to Identify and work with religious scholars in the different faiths who will provide technical support in the identification of religious verses supporting the anti-discrimination Act.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, organize and facilitate technical meeting for working groups to review\u00a0 and validate the \u00a0draft deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Finalize and submit the final copy of the simplified anti-discrimination Act with religious backings.<\/li>\n<li>Work in collaboration with identified religious scholars to develop the simplified version of the anti-discrimination Act.<\/li>\n<li id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1463118193084_32704\">Develop final deliverables<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expected Deliverables<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The final copy of the simplified anti-discrimination Act \u00a0with backings from religious verses<\/li>\n<li>Final copy of messages developed using the anti-discrimination Act for posters targeting health workers and the rights of PLHIV to be used at health facilities<\/li>\n<li>A process report of the consultancy, highlighting the contributors and their backgrounds,<\/li>\n<li>Highlights of the achievements, lessons learned, gaps and recommendations for future similar exercises<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Documentation<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Documents produced in the course of this engagement shall be the property of NINERELA+, therefore, extent to which these documentation will be distributed shall be to subject to NINERELA+\u2019s approval.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience\/Qualification of Consultant <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Min Qualification BA\/BSc\/HND plus other professional degree, higher degree will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in developing evidence based behavior change messages and materials )in Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working with civil society networks and CBOs working on HIV\/AIDS in Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the challenges of multi-sectoral HIV\/AIDS response in the country<\/li>\n<li>Availability to undertake the consultancy<\/li>\n<li>At least 4 years\u2019 experience in social and behavior change communication work. Experience working with faith leaders will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working on high level advocacy at national level\u00a0 in Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Good Knowledge of communication and public relations techniques.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>DURATION OF CONSULTANCY<\/strong><br \/>\nThe duration will be seven working days spread out in a period of three weeks.\u00a0 Consultant is to liaise with the NINERELA+ Secretariat in the course of his\/her work for information as needed<\/p>\n<p><b>How to Apply<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Application should be addressed to the National Coordinator \u2013 NINERELA+ and sent electronically to\u00a0<strong>ninerelarecruitment@yahoo.com<\/strong> with \u201cCONSULTANCY SERVICE\u201d as the subject of the email.
