manager<\/strong> to be based in Apapa, Lagos Nigeria &#8211; a cosmopolitan, thriving metropolis with an excellent quality of life, numerous international schools and a large expatriate community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Areas of responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Responsible for Finance activities for all countries within cluster<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">To provide financial information and services to enable cluster management to execute the Maersk Line business effectively<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">To manage and optimize the working capital and cash management strategies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">To ensure that local finance and control are optimal, accurate and timely in line with global guidelines and local laws and regulations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">To develop a competent finance organization and to be a strategic partner to the Cluster Top.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Co-ordination with Centre Finance and other functions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">To co-ordinate with the GSC functions and ensure timely and accurate execution of off-shored tasks<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">To manage the local implementation of off-shoring suitable activities\/tasks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Reduction of General and Administrative costs<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Deliverables<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Optimized liquidity management and favorable cash flow status<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Local statutory accounts in accordance with local regulation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Accurate and timely execution of all financial transactions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Timely and correct HFM updates in accordance with APMM GAP and IFRS standards<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Reporting of actuals, estimates and budgets in line with global requirements<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Submission of relevant local statutory requirements and interaction with local authorities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Systems &#8211; proactively support initiatives for implementation of new systems and propose changes\/new implementations as required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Audits &#8211; coordinate internal and external audits<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">An optimal cluster-wide control environment across functions<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We are seeking candidates who possess the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 8 years experience in the Finance and\/or Accounting area, with 3 to 4 years being in a high level Managerial position, a professional level degree desirable<\/li>\n<li>Well organized, very strong commitment to meeting deadlines and flexibility with regards to working time an absolute requirement<\/li>\n<li>Team player with strong relationship building skills and ability to develop employee and direct report competencies.<\/li>\n<li>High integrity and personal credibility<\/li>\n<li>Self\u2013starter with ability to work effectively under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Contingency Management &#8211; Anticipate and identify bottlenecks and mitigate risk<\/li>\n<li>Experience in role as Leader of Others &amp;\/ Leader of Leaders<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English, working knowledge of French would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Project Management skills<\/li>\n<li>Innovation<\/li>\n<li>Capacity to be a change agent \u2014 initiate, implement and support changes in a well-structured manner.<\/li>\n<p>Learning Opportunities<br \/>\n\u00b7
