Main responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide oversight and strategic guidance on the administrative operations of Supply Chain, Hospitality and Travel Service, Facilities Management Services, Safety &amp; Security Services, Human Resources and the Administrative services at the IITA hubs and stations. Particular focus will be on Human Resources and Facilities Management Services.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement a long term strategy for the Corporate Services Directorate.<\/li>\n<li>Review the efficacy of the SOP of the stations and improve on them.<\/li>\n<li>Handle challenging and\/or unique employee situations (e.g., performance issues, complex personal situations) with a high degree of empathy and professionalism, in keeping with IITA\u2019s broader culture and issues related to on-campus living within the local environment.<\/li>\n<li>Provide strategic advice to the IITA Board and the Director General.<\/li>\n<li>Devise strategic avenues of ensuring value for money in Supply Chain.<\/li>\n<li>Provide strong leadership on issues related to project execution and full cost recovery.<\/li>\n<li>Support, manage and progress the process of decentralization of the hubs and stations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Educational Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The candidate must be in possession of an appropriate advanced level Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent qualification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Core Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in core administration at senior management level and a proven managerial track record.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in leading and managing transformation, change and diversity.<\/li>\n<li>Strong and demonstrated management competencies, including strategic and operational capability and leadership, programme and project management, people management and empowerment and financial management.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working with a leading international organization or multinational private sector company within a cross- cultural environment at a senior level.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent leadership, management, strategic decision making abilities together with hands on approach.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build high performance teams.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced computer literacy.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, including the ability to set out coherent presentations and group interactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General Information<\/strong><br \/>\nInitial appointment is for three years. IITA offers a competitive remuneration package paid in US dollars.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Research Technician I<\/strong><br \/>\nRef: IITA-HR-NRS2016-026<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Ibadan<br \/>\nRecruitment Type: National (3-year renewable contract)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities\u00a0 <\/strong><br \/>\nSuccessful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists in fishing and preparing nematodes for culturing;<\/li>\n<li>Assists in nematodes counting and identification;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in nematodes culturing;<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in field layout, planting and sample collection;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in all laboratory research activities;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in keep an up-to-date record of laboratory samples and extraction;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in data collection and entry;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in supervision of casual workers;<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OND in General Agriculture preferably Crop protection, Crop production or related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least two (2) years relevant experience in a similar role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies <\/strong><br \/>\nIdeal Candidate must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be organized and patience to attention.<\/li>\n<li>Have good time management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Have basic training in laboratory activities.<\/li>\n<li>Be dependable \/>\n<strong>Job Title: Foreman Plumber <\/strong><br \/>\nRef No: IITA-HR-NRS2016-026<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Ibadan, Oyo<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nSuccessful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in monitoring delivery schedules of materials to ensure uninterrupted work flow;<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring work performed conforms with work plans, specifications and industry standards;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in supervise the plumbing activities in the plumbing unit;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the installation of WCs, sinks and wash hand basins;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in installation of copper water pipes and general plumbing work;<\/li>\n<li>Submitting detailed report s of completed work assigned;<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring safety and making sure tool box are sufficient to meet work demand;<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc\/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least two (3) years relevant experience in a similar role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ideal Candidate must have:\n<ul>\n<li>Good understanding of construction
