Infrastructure &#8211; Energy &amp; Power Focus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reference Number: 125-NIG00101<br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\nDepartment: Advisory<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the Job<\/strong><br \/>\nDrive Energy &amp; Power Infrastructure business development and execution initiatives in Nigeria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deepen PwC Energy &amp; Power infrastructure advisory capabilities<\/li>\n<li>Establish, deepen and expand PwC relationships with significant public and private players across the Energy and Power infrastructure value chain<\/li>\n<li>Manage the delivery of Energy and Power infrastructure projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities of the Job<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and keep up to date the PwC Advisory go to market strategy for capital project and infrastructure with a focus on the Energy and Power industry \/complex:\n<ul>\n<li>Industry landscape (value chain, ALL notable players, evolution etc.)<\/li>\n<li>PwC Advisory&#8217;s \u201cunique point of view&#8217; on Energy &amp; Power infrastructure developments, trends, dynamics, opportunities, challenges etc.<\/li>\n<li>Identify the potential PwC client universe within the industry value chain (public and private institutions)<\/li>\n<li>Determine PwC Advisory investment requirements to enhance our presence in Energy &amp; Power infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Other relevant components of the infrastructure thesis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Originate, structure, coordinate and execute capital project and infrastructure engagements with a focus on the Energy and Power industry \/complex:\n<ul>\n<li>Needs assessment \/ strategic options analysis and concept validation for energy projects<\/li>\n<li>Project viability assessment \/business model development &amp; validation for projects, including preparation of feasibility studies, business plans etc.<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder assessment \/ management and project risk assessment\/allocation<\/li>\n<li>Value analysis \/ financial analysis (including financial model development)<\/li>\n<li>Project finance structuring &amp; capital raising advisory support<\/li>\n<li>Procurement strategy \/ contracting \/ negotiation support<\/li>\n<li>Project management and governance support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain very deep understanding of PwC lines of service, \u201clocal\u201d Advisory competency offerings, PwC Africa Advisory capabilities \/ specializations and PwC Global Advisory capabilities within the context of both the CP&amp;I and Energy &amp; Power complexes<\/li>\n<li>Partner with ALL advisory competencies and PwC lines of services (locally and globally) in leading the client engagement, project origination and delivery<\/li>\n<li>Develop and deliver \u201cdistinctive PwC value \/ perspective\u201d for the Energy &amp; Power infrastructure space:\n<ul>\n<li>Cutting Edge Thought Leadership; Client Surveys; News Articles \/ Press (print); and Media Coverage &amp; Interviews<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Drive \u201cPwC Nigeria Energy &amp; Power Infrastructure Advisory\u201d to its #1 positioning in the market:\n<ul>\n<li>Client Conferences &amp; Events; Internal and External Social Media; Brochures; Websites etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Effectively drive people development and manage the team to provide exceptional service<\/li>\n<li>Develop industry specific training modules and deploy accordingly (training sessions)<\/li>\n<li>Assist with developing or updating firm methodologies regarding infrastructure operations<\/li>\n<li>Ensure teams follow risk management policies and standards on engagement delivery in accordance with standards<\/li>\n<li>Lead and report on industry engagement economics &amp; metrics<\/li>\n<li>Build good XLOS, X-competency and X-geography relationships, and support key internal roles by aiding them to meet the firm&#8217;s objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Act as role model by engaging staff through mentoring \/ coaching and counselling<\/li>\n<li>Support leadership in building and maintaining a pipeline of competent staff in Energy and Power Infrastructure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Educational Qualification<\/strong><br \/>\n(Minimum level of academic and professional qualification and accreditation required to performer effectively in the role):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering or related field<\/li>\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree in Business or Finance related field is a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Experience<\/strong><br \/>\n(Minimum level of personal and professional experience required to perform effectively in the role):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 years relevant work experience in strategy consulting, engineering consulting or investment banking with significant experience in the Energy sector<\/li>\n<li>Experience in building and maintaining strong relations with senior level clients ain both the private and public sector<\/li>\n<li>Must have significant emerging markets experience &#8211; preference will be given to candidates with an existing energy infrastructure experience \/ network in Nigeria \/ West Africa<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading projects and diverse teams<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities<\/li>\n<li>Track record of advising on significant energy projects &#8211; experience across power, refineries, and petrochemicals will be a distinct advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a senior role or relevant experience in a senior management role in a large\/global or fast-growing organization<\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to candidates who have practical industry experience combined with experience in consulting, investment banking or private equity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Knowledge Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\n(Minimum level of practices, standards, processes, legislation etc):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business development capabilities in the Energy and Power industry<\/li>\n<li>Business development capabilities in the Government &amp; Public Services<\/li>\n<li>Technical sufficiency in infrastructure planning (including risk allocation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Related Skills and Competencies<\/strong><br \/>\n(Minimum level of skills i.e. computer literacy, technical skills, and Technical Competencies required to do the job):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent Business Development skills &#8211; Entrepreneurial and Commercial Thinking<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional Presentation, Communication and Facilitation skills<\/li>\n<li>Lead and supervise teams and team activities<\/li>\n<li>Decide and initiate action to achieve key business results within area of responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Excellent relationship and networking skills &#8211; proven track record of dealing with senior client contacts<\/li>\n<li>Project Management skills &#8211; ability to manage across multiple and complex projects<\/li>\n<li>Application of technical expertise<\/li>\n<li>Adaptable to working and engaging with multiple cultures across client environment<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in the English language is required.
