With joining MainOne you&#8217;ll be challenged, inspired and proud as you become a part of something big.<\/p>\n<p>MainOne is recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: IT Service Desk Officer<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong> Nigeria<br \/>\nDepartment: Information Technology<br \/>\nReporting Line: Technical Support Manager<br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The IT service desk officer will provide high quality systems support for the various departments in Main One and shall be responsible for managing and resolving all IT related issues\/queries, and will also play an active role in IT implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>His specific responsibilities shall include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set-up and install computer hardware and software including disk, tape, printers, modems, and related peripherals.<\/li>\n<li>Perform maintenance and repairs on computer hardware including backup, recovery and equipment cleaning.<\/li>\n<li>Train users on computer hardware\/software and other electronic office equipment.<\/li>\n<li>First level selection and design of the hardware and, network and software necessary to operate and improve Main One\u2019s information management system.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the company\u2019s administrative network i.e. network accounts, email accounts website access account, remote access account.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor operational performance and troubleshoot system problems. Isolate the cause of system failures.<\/li>\n<li>Research, evaluate and purchase new hardware and software to meet the company\u2019s requirements computers, and other electronic office equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Design, install, support and integrate centralized and distributed network hardware, operating systems and applications.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for maintaining an inventory of internal licenses, overseeing updates and tracking compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for logging all IT problems and resolutions, and liaising with the external support company.<\/li>\n<li>Providing input into the IT strategy and annual IT budget.<\/li>\n<li>Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of information systems; research products and enhancements and their applicability to Main One\u2019s needs.<\/li>\n<li>Inducting new employees on IT system<\/li>\n<li>Aside the primary helpdesk functions, you will interface with the Technical and Application units regarding testing and understanding of new applications before deployment to users<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and ensure client systems are updated with current Anti-Virus definition while also following up with systems without current definition. Weekly and monthly report will be generated.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor server event before they become incidents. Monitor unauthorized\/unlicensed installation of application using spiceworks. Weekly and monthly report will be generated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum HND\/BSc. Degree in Computer Science or in a related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>2-3 years of relevant experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Competencies Required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical &amp; Professional proficiency<\/li>\n<li>Analytical Thinking<\/li>\n<li>Problem Solving<\/li>\n<li>Self management skills<\/li>\n<li>Team work<\/li>\n<li>Customer Service<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in MS Office &amp; Products<\/li>\n<li>ITIL Qualification an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Title: IT Network Administrator<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong> Nigeria<br \/>\nDepartment: Information Technology<br \/>\nReporting Line: Technical Support Manager<strong><br \/>\nResponsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Network Administrator will Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure. He\/She will select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company\u2019s security team, he\/she will also liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution;<\/p>\n<p>His specific responsibilities shall include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hands-on knowledge of cisco router\/switches and firewall.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience in Routing protocol, OSPF\/EIGRP<\/li>\n<li>Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)<\/li>\n<li>Basic understanding network service. backup systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Title: IPNOC Engineer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Nigeria<br \/>\nDepartment: Technical<br \/>\nReporting Line: IPNOC Supervisor<br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The IPNOC Engineer will be responsible for the first line network monitoring, surveillance and fault management support on the elements and components of the Main One network, using various network management and trouble ticketing systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>His specific responsibilities shall include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor Main One\u2019s network providing specific update, status and performance of all network components, capacity services etc.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and provide at least first line support on all faults on the Main One network in accordance with the Company\u2019s standard operating procedure for fault escalation and management.<\/li>\n<li>Open a trouble ticket (TT) for every network event and ensure it is tracked up to the point of closure.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and ensure full compliance with all Main One\u2019s NOC processes and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper technical documentation of all network events throughout normal\/shift cycle or operations.<\/li>\n<li>Answer all network support related telephone calls and interface with internal\/external customers on operational issues and related network events, using Main One\u2019s standard operating procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Run daily and weekly management reports on network events and activities as well as tracking escalations and other key performance indicators.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all customer SLAs are met.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum HND\/B.Sc Degree in Computer Science or in a related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>3-5 years\u2019 experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Competencies Required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Routing Protocol troubleshooting experience (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP)<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of networking technologies- TCP\/IP, BGP, DNS will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant Professional\/Technical certifications preferably CCNA &amp; CCNP<\/li>\n<li>Good communication
