From experienced pilots to dynamic professionals embarking on new careers, Qatar Airways is searching for talented individuals to join our award-winning team.<br \/>\nWe take pride in our people\u2014a dynamic and culturally diverse workforce is essential to why we are one of the finest and fastest growing airlines in the world.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"lblBusinessUnitDesc\"><br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Job Title: Country Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<b>Job Code:<\/b> QR12444<br \/>\n<b>Employment Type:<\/b> Full Time &#8211; Permanent<br \/>\n<b>Job Function:<\/b> Commercial<br \/>\n<b>City:<\/b> Africa | Nigeria | Lagos<span id=\"lblDescription1\" class=\"onlytext description\"><\/span><br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Description <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span id=\"lblDescription1\" class=\"onlytext description\">In this role, you will provide overall leadership on a strategic level for all sales and other activities within the assigned territory.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"lblDescription1\" class=\"onlytext description\">You will strategically develop and deliver revenue for Qatar Airways, maximising the return from the existing market whilst identifying and penetrating new markets, where appropriate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"lblDescription1\" class=\"onlytext description\">You will also be responsible for the effective management of all staff and company assets within the assigned territory.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span id=\"lblDescription1\" class=\"onlytext description\"><\/span><b>Specific Accountability Include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accountable for the strategic direction of QR Corporate\/Trade\/Leisure and Direct Sales in the territory of responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Define the optimal way to increase sales by recommending routes, timings, aircraft type and other product development<\/li>\n<li>Formulate and implement country sales strategy, including local corporate dealing policy, to maximise short and long term revenue opportunities, reduce cost of sale and generate channel shift, where appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Production of short and medium term local country sales and channel plan including revenue targets as part of the integrated sales strategy<\/li>\n<li>Delivering set revenue targets and implementing sales and marketing plans for the territory<\/li>\n<li>Recommends annual revenue budget and sales strategy for the territory and spearhead attainment of sales targets<\/li>\n<li>Managing relationships with other Airlines, Trade bodies, Government, Media and Civil Aviation Authorities and general public<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>About You: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span id=\"lblDescription1\" class=\"onlytext description\">To be effective in this role, you will need a Bachelors Degree combined with at least seven years of experience in a similar role.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"lblDescription1\" class=\"onlytext description\">You will need an extensive background within the travel sector including airline marketing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"lblDescription1\" class=\"onlytext description\">A proven ability to negotiate and work within a multinational and multicultural environment is required, along with strong sales and leadership capability.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"lblDescription1\" class=\"onlytext description\">A track record of delivery of significant change and budget and planning experience are also both required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"lblDescription1\" class=\"onlytext description\">You will need to be fluent, written and spoken, in English to perform this role.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qatar Airways offers competitive compensation and benefit packages.<\/p>\n<p><b>How To Apply<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should <a href=\"http:\/\/careers.qatarairways.com\/qatarairways\/VacancyDetail.aspx?VacancyID=115514\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Click Here to Apply<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Application Deadline:<\/b> <span id=\"lblClosingDateValue\">September 11, 2016<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to Qatar Airways, where ambitions fly high.
