Damco is part of the Maersk Group.<br \/>\nMore information about Damco can be found on www.damco.com.<\/p>\n<p>Damco is recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\nJob Title: Air Operations Associate<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Location:<\/b> Lagos<\/p>\n<p>Ref.: DC-114663<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure Damco delivers the product sold to customers.<\/li>\n<li>Support CS documentation in opening and closing of files in due time.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate handling of file between departments and ensure file is handled in a timely manner<\/li>\n<li>Manage the cost reduction plan in compliance to company policy without implications for any delays.<\/li>\n<li>Manage written correspondence between OPS department and CS Units on daily updates on CHB progress.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the team Update fields in TrakIT in a timely and correct manner.<\/li>\n<li>Organize KPI review meetings with Airfreight CHB team and flag improvement plans thru WILO sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and enhance close working relationships with CS, Sales, finance teams and govt. authorities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure operational excellence and coordination<\/li>\n<li>Ensure pro-active communication internally and externally.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all issues affecting Damco are addressed within Organization as deemed required<\/li>\n<li>Confirm and verify declarations before assessment customs duty amount and HS code (s) used.<\/li>\n<li>Advice and guide CS on queries encountered during verification\/examination and discuss\/agree on a workable solution to be advised to clients.<\/li>\n<li>Follow up on cargo delivery status.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure final documents are returned to documentations for invoices to be raised timely.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and manage goods delivered from the airport are received in good condition to avoid exposures.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all targets are met and performance indicators are measured<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Requirements<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Who we are looking for:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Degree in Business Management, Social Sciences or equivalent is desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2 year logistics operations experience will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communicator, persuasive and enjoy solving problems.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in English as well as relevant local languages (verbal and written).<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 year of experience in customer service department for a fast-paced service company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>We Offer<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Active participation in the company growth strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to link client needs with Damco&#8217;s solutions portfolio.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the freight forwarding industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Application Deadline\u00a0 <\/b>31st August, 2016.<\/p>\n<p><b>How To Apply<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply below<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Damco is one of the world&#8217;s leading third party logistics providers specializing in customized freight forwarding and supply chain solutions.
