Stanbic IBTC recruits <strong>Head, Credit CIB<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Position Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:<br \/>\nTo oversee the entire Credit function for CIB in Nigeria, which would include responsibility for maintaining a high standard of lending assets through proper origination, control and administration of the exposures, staffing of the CIB Credit function with appropriate skills for the type of business, monitoring the exposures, governance issues, implementing CIB Credit Policies and partnering business in originating, growing and maintaining a sustainable Banking and Trading book.<\/p>\n<p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<br \/>\nMaintaining and improving the quality of lending books<br \/>\nMinimising credit losses<br \/>\nPartnering Business in the sustainable growth of their respective wholesale books.<br \/>\nSupporting, monitoring, coaching and mentoring staff with a view to retaining talent.<br \/>\nEnsuring compliance with all policy guidelines<br \/>\nEnsuring compliance with Money Laundering Controls and training of staff in this regard.<br \/>\nProviding functional and efficient operational support systems<br \/>\nIdentifying and initiating personal development needs and learning experience, as well as business unit development\/training needs<br \/>\nParticipation in EXCO, ALCO and Interest Rate committees and attending Board Audit Committees as necessary<br \/>\nInterviewing customers with general management, as required<br \/>\nDeveloping staff skills\/competencies in technology and knowledge.<br \/>\nEnsuring a high standard of analysis, risk identification and mitigation in the origination of credit.<br \/>\nUnderstanding the risk\/return of transactions and ensuring together with Business that the Bank is adequately compensated for the risk.<br \/>\nAccountability for internal and external audit discrepancies and rectification of these.<br \/>\nEnsuring Governance procedures are followed.<br \/>\nEnsuring excesses are actioned.<br \/>\nEnsuring that reviews of counterparties are done and arrear reviews minimised.<br \/>\nOwnership of Credit NPL and Roll Forward numbers and provisions.<br \/>\nRecommending system enhancements and improvements to aid the credit process and working with Head Office in the implementation of these systems.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/corporateandinvestment.standardbank.co.za\/pages\/careers_rms\/nigeria\/jobs.html\">http:\/\/corporateandinvestment.standardbank.co.za\/pages\/careers_rms\/nigeria\/jobs.html<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC offers its clients a wide range of corporate, investment, business and personal banking products and solutions.\u00a0 With over 60 branches across the country and over 1500&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":false,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[11],"tags":[303],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
