In FY15, our long-term investments in developing countries rose to nearly $18 billion, leveraging our capital, expertise and influence to help the private sector end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>International Finance Corporation (IFC) is recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title: <\/b>Investment Analyst, TMT<br \/>\n<b>Location: <\/b>Lagos, Nigeria<b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Job #: 162170<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>General Description<\/b><br \/>\nIFC\u2019s TMT Group is looking for an Investment Analyst to be based in Lagos to support its business development and investment activities in Africa. With a global deal flow, a diverse portfolio of companies and with many transactions live at any given time, the group is an excellent place to build your buy-side investment skills, understand key elements of due diligence in very different settings, how risk is analyzed, accepted and mitigated, and how companies are built and monitored.<br \/>\n<b><br \/>\nDuties and Accountabilities<\/b><br \/>\nThe responsibilities of the Investment Analyst include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyze financial statements and prepare financial models;<\/li>\n<li>Conduct industry, market and company research;<\/li>\n<li>Work with senior staff to help identify viable investment transactions across various geographies through mapping, desk research and pipeline management;<\/li>\n<li>Understand operations and different business models, map and explain business processes;<\/li>\n<li>Perform analytics on markets, company performances, portfolio and other data;<\/li>\n<li>Help design and maintain proper KPIs for portfolio companies or opportunities in watch-list.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare investment-related documents for internal and external audiences;<\/li>\n<li>Participate in all aspects of IFC&#8217;s deal approval process including opportunity development, due diligence, negotiations and portfolio management;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Selection Criteria<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s or equivalent degree with specialized finance experience;<\/li>\n<li>1-3 year experience in investment and credit analysis with investment banking background within a major financial institution, consulting company or large corporation;<\/li>\n<li>Willing to travel on short notices;<\/li>\n<li>Experience or demonstrated interest in equity investments;<\/li>\n<li>Interest in the World Bank Group and IFC&#8217;s mission, strategy and values;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, fluency in French is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Strong financial, analytical and modeling skills;<\/li>\n<li>Team player with strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>How to Apply<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/221024630?trkInfo=searchKeywordString%3A%2CsearchLocationString%3A%252C%2B%2Cvertical%3Ajobs%2CpageNum%3A1%2Cposition%3A4%2CMSRPsearchId%3A272879734_1476463888566&amp;refId=272879734_1476463888566&amp;recommendedFlavor=SCHOOL_RECRUIT&amp;trk=jobs_jserp_job_listing_text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><b>Click here to apply <\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Note<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the selected candidate is a current Bank Group staff member with a Regular or Open-Ended appointment, s\/he will retain his\/her Regular or Open-Ended appointment.
