{"id":32409,"date":"2016-10-18T16:47:27","date_gmt":"2016-10-18T15:47:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=32409"},"modified":"2016-10-18T16:47:27","modified_gmt":"2016-10-18T15:47:27","slug":"job-west-african-ventures-ltd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/job-west-african-ventures-ltd.html","title":{"rendered":"Job at West African Ventures Ltd"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>West African Ventures (WAV) is a 100% Nigerian company and a leading indigenous provider of offshore engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and vessel charter services.<br \/>\nWith corporate headquarters in Lagos, Marine Support Base and shipyard in Warri, Dry-dock and Fabrication facilities in Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone, WAV provides excellent offshore support services to the Nigerian Oil and Gas sector.<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title:<\/b>\u00a0 Cost Controller<br \/>\n<b>Location:<\/b> Lagos<\/p>\n<p><b>Job description<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Responsibility for forecasting, controlling and monitoring project budgets<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Prepare cost estimates for offshore construction and installation projects or services to aid management in bidding on or determining price of projects or services<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining cost breakdown structures<\/li>\n<li>Distribute the project charge codes and making sure all the costs are booked to the correct budget<\/li>\n<li>Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management\u2019s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare variation reporting for any change in budget with detail explanation and backup<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes<\/li>\n<li>Provide cost control and planning advice to the internal PMT team as and when required.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with Contract Lead to evaluate the cost impact on any Change Order<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the PMT, engineering, construction labours man-hours compared to bid budget<\/li>\n<li>Understand the execution plan and dial in any deviation from bid basis into the budget and obtain budget approval from project manager and management<\/li>\n<li>Involve in risk assessment and populate the contingency budget<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline<\/strong><br \/>\nNot Specified<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>How to Apply<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should click below to apply<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>West African Ventures (WAV) is a 100% Nigerian company and a leading indigenous provider of offshore engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and vessel charter services.
