With about 172,000 employees and 65 plants worldwide, the company\u2019s automotive brands include Ford and Lincoln.<br \/>\nThe company provides financial services through Ford Motor Credit Company.<br \/>\nFord Motor Company is recruiting to fill the job position of:<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title: <\/b>Launch Engineer<b><br \/>\nLocation: <\/b>Nigeria<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Launch Engineer is responsible for representing Ford in its partners production KD plant in Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure adherence to Ford Quality and Environmental Standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Position Details<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select the Pre-Delivery Product Specialists and provide leadership and direction to the group<\/li>\n<li>Support all pre-production builds beginning with Tool Trails built phase.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct Nova C and Fresh Eyes reviews<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Product Specialists to develop preliminary Quality Process Sheets and job instruction sheets for training<\/li>\n<li>Develop an area specific training plan with the Launch Planning &amp; Workforce Readiness Leader<\/li>\n<li>Prepare show vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement an onsite modifications (retrofit) plan to change out parts<\/li>\n<li>Develop and coordinate an advanced quality plan that:<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that the timing and objectives are met to satisfy or exceed all APQP elements<\/li>\n<li>Assists all plant areas to exceed the craftsmanship standards<\/li>\n<li>Resolve all Delta and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) issues with the plant Government Regulations Coordinator<\/li>\n<li>Implement the Quality Leadership System (QLS) for the new model program<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all quality issues are being adequately resolved through the Automated Issue Management System (AIMS)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the Ford Consumer Product Audit (FCPA) process is implemented and followed, and that all applicable targets are achieved<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Vehicle Operations (VO) Final Assembly Engineering (FAE) supplies capable processes<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the plant Variability Reduction Team\u2019s (VRT) and ensure that proper controls are updated as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Establishes a plant Quality Operating System for the new model<\/li>\n<li>Review incoming parts inspection reports and other quality data<\/li>\n<li>Track PSW certification and ensure that the proper engineering levels of parts are being used<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the color harmony event at the plant<\/li>\n<li>Assist purchasing with planning and execution of on-site supplier conferences<\/li>\n<li>Identify and track problem parts and suppliers with the Staff Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer<\/li>\n<li>Communicate incoming quality issues to the Plant Launch Manager and the affected area launch leaders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9000 \/ ISO 14000 \/ TS 16949, SPC Knowledge and training and Measurement Systems Analysis<\/li>\n<li>Include everyone; respect, listen to, help and appreciate others<\/li>\n<li>Make sound decisions using facts and data<\/li>\n<li>Good in speaking, reading and writing English.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate and build functional and technical excellence<\/li>\n<li>Ensure process discipline<\/li>\n<li>Have a continuous improvement philosophy and practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>National Diploma Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering<\/li>\n<li>3 years motor industry or related work experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Application Deadline<br \/>\n<\/b>Not Specified\u00a0<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>How to Apply<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply below<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ford Motor Company, a global automotive industry leader based in Dearborn, Mich., manufactures or distributes automobiles across six continents.
