{"id":33156,"date":"2016-11-01T15:09:55","date_gmt":"2016-11-01T14:09:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=33156"},"modified":"2016-11-01T15:09:55","modified_gmt":"2016-11-01T14:09:55","slug":"latest-job-vacancy-sasakawa-africa-association","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/latest-job-vacancy-sasakawa-africa-association.html","title":{"rendered":"Latest Job Vacancy at The Sasakawa Africa Association"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The <b>Sasakawa Africa Association<\/b> \/Sasakawa Global 2000<\/strong> (SAA\/SG2000), a non-profit governmental organization with its office in Nigeria, promotes demonstration and widespread adoption of improved pre and post-production agricultural technologies for small holder farmers in Nigeria in collaboration with relevant government institutions, farmers&#8217; organizations, and private sector.<\/p>\n<p>The project is implemented through five Interrelated Themes, one is to improve farm productivity (Theme 1), to promotion improved post-harvest and agro-processing technologies (Theme 2), to promote public-private partnership in support of pluralistic extension delivery and market access (Theme 3, to develop agricultural extension advisory services (Theme 4), and to establish a relevant efficient and effective monitoring, evaluation, learning and sharing system (Theme 5).<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for Program Officer (POs) from Nigerian nationals to serve in the MELS and PPP Themes; Hence we are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong> Program Officer, Public-Private Partnerships (Theme 3)<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Kano, with frequent travel within the country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Background<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Program Officer works under the supervision of the Thematic Coordinator, and the Country director.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Major Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the Thematic Coordinator and PRO in planning, budgeting and implementation of Theme activities based on approved budgets;<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the planning, organizing, and conducting appropriate training for targted beneficiaries (Farmers organizations, inputs dealers, seed companies staff. SMS. etc) appropriate times;<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the development of functional groups\/commodity associations that will collectively carry out input and output marketing functions.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate partner farmer groups to Internally mobilize resources\/funds and access\u00a0 load from financial institutions to support their enterprises<\/li>\n<li>Contribute in the development and strengthening of partnership between farmers, research-extension; inputs dealers, amid other actors;<\/li>\n<li>Produce and Keep a well organized register (or list)of thematic partners and activities;<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the development and management of Theme 3 database of Public Private Service providers\/PPSPs (collection of data, establishment, monitoring and management of the database);<\/li>\n<li>Contribute in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual technical reports and submit to the Thematic and Country Director<\/li>\n<li>Keep and improve team spirit inside Theme 3 and on the issue of inter-theme collaboration by supporting, whenever needed, possible activities of other themes;<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties for the success of the Theme as directed by supervisors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum requirement of B.Sc in Agribusinesses\/Agricultural Economics or Agronomy or Agricultural extension with 7 years experience, a candidate with MSC is preferred<\/li>\n<li>Applies appropriate technologies and skills in training, and for data gathering, analysis and timely reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Has the ability to work productively in team environment and independently and willing to meet unexpected demands.<\/li>\n<li>Should be computer literate<\/li>\n<li>Willing to do extensive field work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Conditions and Remuneration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contract for one year, with possibility of extension depending on performance and availability of funds<\/li>\n<li>Salary based on the organization scale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method of Application<br \/>\n<\/strong>Applicants are requested to submit an application, including the following non-returnable documents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Application letters stating Intent of interest.<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae with three referees;<\/li>\n<li>Copies of credentials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All applications must be made electronically using the following email or postal address<strong>: <\/strong><strong>claraogbe@saa-safe.org<\/strong><br \/>\nOr<br \/>\nSend to<br \/>\n<strong>The Country Director,<br \/>\nSasakawa Global 2000,<br \/>\nNo. 8 Kura Road,<br \/>\nOff Magajin Rumfa Nassarawa GRA,<br \/>\nKano State.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n15th November,2016<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sasakawa Africa Association \/Sasakawa Global 2000 (SAA\/SG2000), a non-profit governmental organization with its office in Nigeria, promotes demonstration and widespread adoption of improved pre and post-production agricultural technologies for&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10160,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[7],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
