{"id":3377,"date":"2010-03-10T12:53:24","date_gmt":"2010-03-10T11:53:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=3377"},"modified":"2010-10-23T18:30:52","modified_gmt":"2010-10-23T17:30:52","slug":"adexen-nigeria-chief-accountant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/adexen-nigeria-chief-accountant.html","title":{"rendered":"Adexen Nigeria Vacancies: Chief Accountant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/adexen.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-318\" title=\"adexen\" src=\"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/adexen.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"104\" \/><\/a>Adexen<\/strong> is hiring for a client \u2013 a leading company in FMCG sector, is looking for a\u00a0<strong>Senior Accountant <\/strong>for its Nigerian office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will be responsible for:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 To control and manage the day-to-day accounts transactions<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 To prepare monthly Management Accounts and annual Financial Returns<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 To interface with Company\u2019s Management, Site Managements and Nigeria Authorities<\/p>\n<p>He will report to the Finance Manager.<\/p>\n<p>The position is based in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Control the correct coding of accounts vouchers, their posting and filing.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Control timely payment of creditor\u2019s invoices.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Control the bank movements and their reconciliation with bank statements.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Control the cash movements (Head Office &amp; sites) and conduct surprise cash counts.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Look after the Companies interests regarding Nigerian authorities and external auditors.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Reconcile accounts with debtors, creditors and Group companies.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Produce monthly Management Accounts and clarify same with sites.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Assist external auditors in their task of auditing the Company<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Supervise regular stock checks<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Produce annual financial reports.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Ensure compliance with Company\u2019s accounts and administration procedures.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Monitor changes in legislation and publications regarding accountancy and financial matters.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Assist in the preparation of standardized accounting procedures in the Company.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Liaise with other Company\u2019s departments to ensure smooth interaction with Accounts Department.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Deputize for the Finance &amp; Administration Manager when he is not available.<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Minimum qualifications include an advanced certificate in accountancy recognized in Nigeria, preferably \u201cChartered Accountant\u201d \u2013 ICAN \/ ACCA<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Good Health status.
