(Intern)<\/strong><strong><br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Lagos<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive and count working cash<\/li>\n<li>Identify customers, validate and cash checks<\/li>\n<li>Accept cash and checks for deposit and check accuracy of deposit slip<\/li>\n<li>Process cash withdrawals<\/li>\n<li>Record all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with bank procedures<\/li>\n<li>Balance currency, cash and checks in cash till<\/li>\n<li>Ordering statements and cheque books<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with account managers<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining a proper beginning and end of day balance<\/li>\n<li>Assistance to customers with queries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications and prospective candidate would be responsible for ensuring that customer&#8217; funds transfer instructions are efficiently and promptly executed without delays with a positive impact on customer delight.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Full Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The candidate will ensure customers&#8217; transactions (Manager&#8217;s Cheques, NIP etc.) are processed within approved service turn around time;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure customers&#8217; instructions are properly reviewed before processing;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all remittances for customers and regulatory agencies are handled within the agreed time-frame;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure daily and weekly balancing of internal funds transfer accounts such as Manager&#8217;s Cheques, Cash Advance, etc;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain proper records of funds transfer transactions;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure maintenance and effective utilization of physical assets and resources (adding machines, workstations, stamps till boxes etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Transfer funds for customers as per customers instructions in a safe and secure manner by observing due diligence at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Educational Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidate must have a BA\/B.SC in any discipline with a minimum of Second Class -Lower or HND Upper Credit with an MBA\/ACA\/CIBN.<\/li>\n<li>He\/She&#8217;s prior experience in similar function is compulsory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Skills Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidate must have excellent customer service orientation; must be able to pay attention to Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To effectively manage the Central Cash department and ensure controls of the Bank\u2019s local and foreign cash and draft instruments are consistently adhered to<\/li>\n<li>Manage and maintain cash limits both at Central Cash and Branches and ensure prompt expatriation of excesses<\/li>\n<li>Plan and coordinate delivery and collection of cash to and from the Central Bank<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that foreign cash held is within the set limit<\/li>\n<li>Verify that vault\/reserve cash movement differences are resolved daily<\/li>\n<li>Supply cash both local and foreign with minimum delay to Branches as per SLA<\/li>\n<li>Hold in joint custody the Banks Certificates of investments (Commercial Papers, Treasury Bills or Bonds, Govt Stock) and avail same to the Bank\u2019s auditors on demand<\/li>\n<li>Hold in joint custody keys to vault cash compartments<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and timely processing and reconciliation of General Ledger accounts<\/li>\n<li>Engage with Partner Banks in cash swaps<\/li>\n<li>Evaluates daily cash levels and ensures they meet short-term operating needs and long-term project financing
