Title: Truck Mechanic<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Specification<\/strong><br \/>\nThe candidate must be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carry out routine service of Daf trucks or Freightliner and Mack trucks.<\/li>\n<li>Identify faults in time;<\/li>\n<li>Proffer appropriate solution to such faults;<\/li>\n<li>Identify authentic spare parts;<\/li>\n<li>Fix faults in good time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirement<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 years experience in repairs of either Daf or freightliner and Mack trucks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Closing must be between 30-45 years.<\/li>\n<li>No physical \/ eye disabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Valid and appropriate National Driver\u2019s License<\/li>\n<li>5 years driving experience.<\/li>\n<li>No crime \/>\nLocation:<\/strong> Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nThe candidate shall be responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee transportation department, including its assets and employees.<\/li>\n<li>Manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure customer goods move from production through the supply chain to the end user.<\/li>\n<li>Establish quality transportation services.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and implement budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize services of less-than-truckload carriers and air-forwarders to handle fulfillment shipments.<\/li>\n<li>Review financial reports.<\/li>\n<li>Manage performance of branch employees with emphasis on productivity, efficiency, and service delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Lead all distribution and transportation planning and strategic activities.<\/li>\n<li>Recruit, interview, select, train, motivate, coach, and mentor shipping clerks and transport drivers.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Make arrangements to ensure that drivers comply with drivers\u2019 hours and tachograph rules, and with speed limits.<\/li>\n<li>Make arrangements to ensure that the vehicles are maintained properly, including the inspection of vehicles at the appropriate time and the action taken to remedy defects found.<\/li>\n<li>Report and record vehicle defects highlighted by drivers.<\/li>\n<li>Establish the method of compilation and the accuracy of all records, which must be kept for a period of no less than 15 months.<\/li>\n<li>Make arrangements to ensure that the vehicle\/s are not overloaded.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that authorized vehicles will be kept at the authorized operating centre(s) when not in use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors degree in Transport and Planning;<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years experience in transport and logistics<\/li>\n<li>Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organizational and planning skills<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Information
