{"id":3658,"date":"2010-04-01T18:39:05","date_gmt":"2010-04-01T17:39:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=3658"},"modified":"2010-04-01T18:39:05","modified_gmt":"2010-04-01T17:39:05","slug":"adexen-jobs-in-nigeria-project-hse-advisor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/adexen-jobs-in-nigeria-project-hse-advisor.html","title":{"rendered":"Adexen Jobs in Nigeria: Project HSE Advisor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/adexen.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-318\" title=\"adexen\" src=\"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/adexen.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"104\" \/><\/a>Adexen\u00a0Nigeria<\/strong> is recruiting a\u00a0<strong>Project HSE Advisor<\/strong> for one of its clients &#8211;\u00a0 a leading industrial corporation focused on Oil &amp; Gas construction and major marine services in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The function of the Project HSE Advisor is to assist the Project Director \/ Manager in the implementation of an HSE program that will provide an incident and injury free working environment.<\/p>\n<p>He\/She has the authority to act independently of all other functions to ensure compliance with rules, regulations and procedures, and to initiate corrective actions as deemed necessary.\u00a0 He\/she will refer any deviation to Group procedures, rules and policies to the Projects HSE Head. The position is based in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Assists and advises the Project Director \/ Manager in all matters pertaining to the health, the safety and the security of personnel, the safeguarding of equipment and the preservation of the environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Advises on HSE legislation when required.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Liaises with Company on HSE matters and represents the HSE function at Project meetings as required.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Prepares and maintains Project specific HSE documents as per Project requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Informs relevant Project and Worksites personnel of their content in a timely manner and verify implementation.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Ensures that appropriate Emergency Response arrangements are in place for the Project.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Sets up &amp; schedule the Project specific HSE activities as per Project requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Ensures the Safety critical elements related to the works are identified. Interface with the Industrial Risk discipline as appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Co-ordinates &amp; monitors execution of the PHAs &amp; HIRAs. Ensures that all new risk assessments are included in the HIRA data base and participate in its maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Ensures Suppliers HSE Management process is implemented on the Project.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Carries out regular visits at the workplaces (onshore, offshore) as per Project HSE activities needs.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Schedules &amp; carries out Site HSE Check Ratings according to relevant plan and ensure that resultant actions are closed out (including Suppliers worksites).<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Reviews Undesired Event Reports prepared by the worksites involved on the Project (Suppliers included), and reports them to Client once agreed.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Follows-up the investigations and monitors the recommendations close-out. Prepares periodic analysis of accidents \/ incidents on the Project.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Maintains and analyses Project HSE statistics.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Issues Project monthly HSE reports.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Promotes &amp; participates and Project specific Health, Safety &amp; Environment awareness, training &amp; communications campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Co-ordinates Project HSE training requirements with the PASS Coordinator.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Suggests improvements to the HSE procedures, guidelines and tools to enhance performance in HSE.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Advises on any additional Project HSE resources need on the Project and coordinates their activities with the support of the Projects HSE Head.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Ensures Lessons Learnt are identified during the lifetime of the Project and disseminated to the Project team &amp; HSEQ department.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Issues a Project HSES Debrief report at the end of the Project.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Participates to HSEQ Department activities upon request.<\/p>\n<p>JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0 Holding HSE Certificate or diploma<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in oil &amp; gas industry, offshore environment<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Experience of operations and in implementation of HSE key processes at the worksites (onshore, offshore)<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Developing HSE plans in accordance with regulations and specifications<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Carrying out audits and investigations and producing the subsequent reports<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Good interpersonal skills of communication, ability to negotiate, to share and promote ideas, to lead training\/awareness sessions<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0 Creative, autonomous, flexible and adaptable<\/p>\n<p>WHAT IS ON OFFER<\/p>\n<p>Attractive package<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Adexen Nigeria Jobs, Jobs in Nigeria by Joblist Nigeria, vacancies in Nigeria - Jobs vacancy in Nigeria\" href=\"http:\/\/www.adexen.com\/offer_NGA0346_project_hse_advisor.html\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Adexen\u00a0Nigeria is recruiting a\u00a0Project HSE Advisor for one of its clients &#8211;\u00a0 a leading industrial corporation focused on Oil &amp; Gas construction and major marine services in Nigeria.
