security incident reporting; security guard oversight and management; monitoring and analysing the security situation in the states of humanitarian response, supporting the development and implementation of Security related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in Borno field office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Duties and Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advise Humanitarian Unit on all aspects of security, management issues and trends in the North East<\/li>\n<li>Develop\/maintain an appropriate framework of security measures and standard operating procedures (SSOPs), which will increase Plan International Nigeria\u2019s overall capacity to protect staff, programs, and property for the humanitarian response<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that Plan International Nigeria SSOPs reflect risk levels referenced in Plan\u2019s Global Security Policy and ensure SSOPs are compliant with all Plan\u2019s policies<\/li>\n<li>Manage the day-to-day operations of security management i.e. guard\u00a0 oversight\/management\/direction; identification, documentation, analysis and follow up of security threats\/incidents; monitoring SSOP compliance; staff\/vehicle movement control, etc for the humanitarian response<\/li>\n<li>At the state level, lead the response to all security threats\/incidents in a timely, professional and appropriate manner<\/li>\n<li>Review existing Security Risk Assessments (SRAs) and conduct same routinely in the two North East states of Plan\u2019s Humanitarian response operational locations as well as whenever the security situation changes and advice programming<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and suggest ongoing improvements to existing security warning systems and produce the report to updates\/alerts etc., then analyse available information with respect to potential impact to Plan International Nigeria and inform staff \/management accordingly of security risks.<\/li>\n<li>Regular attendance at relevant security meetings and forums for the North East.<\/li>\n<li>Report on security incidents\/threats to Country Security Advisor on a regular basis (including analysis of trends) and focal persons at the district level<\/li>\n<li>Review physical security arrangements including insurance for staff and assets (e.g. vehicles) in collaboration with relevant managers such as P&amp;C, Operations Managers etc, on a regular basis and implement action plans to improve\/correct as\/when required<\/li>\n<li>Develop and test contingency plans based on results and anticipation of security threat\/risk assessments and develop staf preparedness\/capacity to respond, staffing collaboration with focal persons at the district\/PU level<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that regular safety and security trainings are conducted with relevant field staff<\/li>\n<li>Build the capacity of all staff on security including health and safety aspects under P&amp;C leadership\/ownership<\/li>\n<li>Assess communications needs and recommend improvements\/technological aspects to make sure that all equipments are working and in good condition such as generator(s), radios, satellite phones, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Assume any other responsibility as assigned by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications and Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health &amp; The post holder will lead on capacity building for staff in country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Duties and Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in the development and implementation of the country IT strategy<\/li>\n<li>Availability and reliability of the ICT infrastructure, applications and connectivity<\/li>\n<li>Maintain agreed levels of service provision and service levels<\/li>\n<li>Provide ICT support to delivering program outputs<\/li>\n<li>Provide ICT expertise on ICT<\/li>\n<li>Lead the provision of technical support for corporate applications, including installation and upgrades<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordinate closely with Regional and local service units to ensure proper implementation of equipment\/systems<\/li>\n<li>Manage ICT risks<\/li>\n<li>Participate in system\/project testing, rollout and certification<\/li>\n<li>Lead the provision of technical solutions and systems to meet local requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ensure data and systems protection according to Plan\u2019s standards and requirements<\/li>\n<li>Provide content input to ICT staff recruitment, training and development<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate for the procurement of licenses, soft wares and implementation<\/li>\n<li>Provide efficient support to the IT needs in the Field offices and CO<\/li>\n<li>Provide alternative and efficient options on how to resolve in-Country issues on the communication facilities like the stability of internet connectivity<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice on Expenditure control and management of approved ICT budget<\/li>\n<li>Provide training and support on technical aspects of corporate applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications and Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor Degree in a Computer Studies discipline and Master degree would be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years\u2019 relevant experience in the field of ICT, preferably with management responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Experience of implementing and supporting LAN, WAN, VSAT, Windows Server Infrastructure, SQL Server, Exchange server\/Office 365, Cisco Infrastructure, VSAT and emergencies telecommunications equipment (BGANs, Radio, Sat phones,)<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge on Windows Server 2008\/2012 including Active Directory<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing and implementing information systems and supporting technologies<\/li>\n<li>Training in management and\/or project management an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge on ITIL<\/li>\n<li>Work experience in an NGO is an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Physical Environment and Demands: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Typical office environment, the role will be based in the Country Office with visits to Field offices once in a while when necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Level of Contact with Children: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Low contact- the job responsibilities of this position does not require the post holder to have frequent contact with children. There would be occasional contact with children and it is expected that children shall be protected at all times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title: <\/b>Child Protection and Sexual Gender Based Violence (CP\/SGBV) Officer<b><br \/>\nLocation:<\/b>Maiduguri<br \/>\n<b>Department: <\/b>Program<br \/>\n<b>Reports to: <\/b>Field Coordinator with Technical line to Child Protection Specialist<br \/>\n<b>Duration: <\/b>12 Months<br \/>\n<b>Purpose<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To coordinate and manage the CP and SGBV activities in line with International minimum standards in Borno state.<\/li>\n<li>The post holder will manage the CP and SGBV activities interfacing with other programme team members.<\/li>\n<li>The post holder will also contribute towards the capacity building of Plan Internationals implementing partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Duties and Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To ensure children harmed or at risk of being harmed are identified and receive individual case management support by ensuring standard tools and procedures are in place and adhered to by case management team members.<\/li>\n<li>To manage, provide training and technical support to, and build the capacity of the full case management team.<\/li>\n<li>To coordinate with other child protection agencies on case management.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical and management leadership to the Case Management program in accordance with best practice and Plan policies, including its child-centered community-based approach.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that solid case management, referral and information management systems are in place for appropriate identification, responses and follow-up for children harmed or at risk of being harmed<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the [Child Protection Database] is set up, regularly updated, analysed for trends in the caseload, and efficiently and confidentially managed in collaboration with the Data<\/li>\n<li>Manager [and relevant partner organizations (e.g. UNHCR, Save the Children and UNICEF)].<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to Family Tracing and Reunification activities in collaboration with implementing agencies<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with other project staff to ensure referrals to other services such as psychosocial support and education\/livelihoods interventions<\/li>\n<li>Directly supervises partner NGO Case Workers<\/li>\n<li>Ensure regular communication with CPiE Specialist to integrate appropriate child protection in emergencies priorities in program design<\/li>\n<li>Ensure regular Plan case review meetings and conferences are conducted to reflect on progress and to accommodate the lessons learned and improve case management system accordingly; [participate in Best Interest Determination as appropriate].<\/li>\n<li>Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate regular, participatory assessments\/feedback surveys with client communities.<\/li>\n<li>Provide inputs into and consolidate weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports on the<\/li>\n<li>Case Management activities; Submit reports for all field activities, trainings and meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications and Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BA or equivalent in Social Science, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Human Rights or related degree desired<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years\u2019 experience in implementing child protection programs, preferable social work or case management, in humanitarian or development settings<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in capacity building and mentoring of staff<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in emergency preparedness and response<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with case files and databases and providing regular documentation preferred<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years direct experience providing services to children at risk and victims of abuse, exploitation and violence, providing gender-sensitive and child-friendly counseling services, and\/or developing\/implementing referral pathways and case management systems<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience supervising and managing a team in a cross-cultural setting<\/li>\n<li>Experience in grant management and proposal writing preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Physical Environment and Demands: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Based in Maiduguri, Borno State with field visits to implement and supervise programme activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Level of Contact with Children: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High contact- the job responsibilities of this position require the post holder to have frequent contact with children.
