CRS programs assist persons on the basis of need, regardless of creed, ethnicity or nationality. CRS works through local church and non-church partners to implement its programs. Therefore, strengthening and building the capacity of these partner organizations is fundamental to our approach in every country in which CRS operates. CRS re-established its presence in Nigeria in 2000 and currently focuses on agriculture, governance, peace building and Health\/HIV programming.<br \/>\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:<br \/>\n<b>\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Hygiene Promotion and Community Mobilisation Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\n<b>Location<\/b>: Maiduguri, Nigeria<br \/>\n<b>Position Band:<\/b> B-2<br \/>\n<b>Reports To:<\/b> Hygiene Promotion Team Leader<b><br \/>\nPrimary Function<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Hygiene Promotion Assistant will work alongside the Hygiene Promotion Officers forming part of the Hygiene Promotion and Community Mobilization Team in the delivery of support IDPs In Borno State.<\/li>\n<li>The Hygiene Promotion Assistant will work with locally recruited Community Mobilisers to lead the delivery of hygiene promotion messaging and create hygiene behavior change.<\/li>\n<li>The Hygiene Promotion Assistant will also capitalize on their community mobilization role to support shelter\/WASH infrastructure sensitization and messaging.<\/li>\n<li>In light of the high vulnerabilities of CRS&#8217; targeted popuations, including high level of reported trauma, and significant number of child and female headed HHs, it Is anticipated that this Hygiene Promotion Role will also include a focus on Protection and Gender Mainstreaming across Shelter\/WASH and NFl programmes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications and Skills<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of one or more of the following: Public Health, Health or Hygiene Promotion, Community Development, Education, or Community Water Supply and Sanitation.<\/li>\n<li>Practical experience in relevant community development, health, WASH, Or similar programs with demonstrated experience in a Gender Protection or Community Mobilizer role, preferably with an international NGO.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge and experience of working with local partner<\/li>\n<li>Experience and understanding of Hygiene Promotion and community mobilization in relation to water and sanitation activities.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated quantitative skills, including Microsoft Excel and skills in analyzing, interpreting and communicating information to a variety of stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational, analytical, oral and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good oral and written reporting skills in English.<\/li>\n<li>Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills including ability to work with multiple stakeholders successfully.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated skills in training and capacity building through technical assistance and mentoring.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with the culture of the affected population, ability to develop respect from a wide range of people and strong ability to communicate effectively on hygiene matters.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to gender responsive programming.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of and commitment to key development frameworks like the Integral Human Development Framework.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively under pressure and to organize and prioritize a variety of initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English with at least one additional language- Hausa, kanuri, Shuar Arab and Fulani preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Hygiene Promotion Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<b>Location<\/b>: Maiduguri, Nigeria<br \/>\n<b>Position Band: <\/b>C-1<br \/>\n<b>Reports To: <\/b>Hygiene Promotion Team Leader<b><br \/>\nPrimary Function<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Hygiene Promotion Officer will form part of the Hygiene Promotion and Community Mobilization Team in the delivery of support IDPs in Borno State.<\/li>\n<li>The Hygiene Promotion Officer will work with locally recruited Community Mobilisers to lead the delivery of hygiene promotion messaging and create hygiene behavior change.<\/li>\n<li>The Hygiene Promotion Officer will also capitalize on their community mobilization role to support shelter\/WASH infrastructure sensitization and messaging.<\/li>\n<li>In light of the nigh vulnerabilities of CRS&#8217;
