WEWE\u2019s main goal is to advocate for, and promote the rights of widows, vulnerable women and orphans in Nigeria and Africa at large.<\/p>\n<p>WEWE seeks application from qualified persons for the following vacant positions in the USAID-funded LOPIN-2 project:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: <\/strong><strong>Improvement Officer\/Vulnerable Children (VC) Officer<br \/>\nLocations:<\/strong> Rivers and Akwa-Ibom<br \/>\nSlots: 6<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE) seeks applications from qualified persons as Improvement Officer to join the team in implementing a comprehensive USAID-funded Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) project called Local Partners Initiative for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Nigeria (LOPIN-2).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification and Experience Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of a University Degree or HND in Social Science, Social work, Community Development, Home Economics, Nutrition, Mass Communication or any relevant course<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 year in OVC programing or other thematic areas<\/li>\n<li>Strong Communication Skills<\/li>\n<li>Extremely strong computer skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong editing Skills<\/li>\n<li>Very strong report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in both written and oral English required<\/li>\n<li>Ability to speak the local skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Accounting with a second class upper division is preferred<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of (5) year experience in Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use Quick book accounting software<\/li>\n<li>Experience working on USAID\/PEPFAR funded vulnerable children programs<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop budgets for USAID funded (LOPIN-2).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification and Experience Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of a University Degree or an HND in a relevant courses is mandatory<\/li>\n<li>A Post Graduate Degree will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 2 years\u2019 experience in Community Development work<\/li>\n<li>Experience in orphans and vulnerable children programs is desirable<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing and supervising staff (Accountant, Improvement officer &amp; M&amp;E officer) &#8211; it is important that the Improvement Manager be mature, experienced and knows how to coordinate staff, delegate duties and provide leadership in the absence of the Executive Director<\/li>\n<li>Extremely strong computer skills (Excellent use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word)<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Very strong report writing skills (The Improvement Manager will be responsible for writing the first draft of all monthly, quarterly and training reports to WEWE LOPIN, so it is absolutely imperative to for the program manager to have strong writing skills and computer skills, a novice in computer use of Microsoft word and Power Point is highly discouraged).<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in both written and oral English required.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to speak the local language of the region is desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE) tis currently implementing a comprehensive USAID-funded Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) project called Local Partners Initiative for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Nigeria (LOPIN-2).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Corporate Lawyer \/ Legal Adviser \/ Law Firms duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reviews of all WEWE\u2019s contracts,<\/li>\n<li>Verification of employee\u2019s credentials,<\/li>\n<li>Legal representation,<\/li>\n<li>Human resource management and other assignments assigned by the Executive Director,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The lawyer should have a minimum of a Second Class Upper division in (LL.B) Bachelors in Law for the position of Corporate Lawyer\/Legal Advisor.<\/li>\n<li>The law firm should be experienced in intellectual property\/contract law and litigation.<\/li>\n<li>The lawyer\/Law firm should be registered with\/ or able to
