We promote family-friendly flexible working opportunities, where operational and security needs allow.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Entry Clearance Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\nJob ID: (05\/17 LOS)<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Lagos<br \/>\nGrade: A1 (L)<br \/>\nType of Position: Fixed Term<br \/>\nDuration of Post: 6 months<br \/>\nJob Category: Other British Government Departments (Partners across Government, including UK Visas)<br \/>\nJob Subcategory: UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration)<br \/>\nStart Date: 1 June 2017<strong><\/p>\n<p>Main Purpose of Job<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Deputy British High Commission is looking for 2 Entry Clearance Assistant to work in the Visa Section.The successful candidate will undertake a variety of tasks to support visa operations. This position is a 6 months contract from June-November 2017.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nWhat will the Jobholder be Expected to Achieve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for someone with good oral and written communication skills. In particular, the successful candidate should be able to work quickly and accurately, often under pressure, have a positive approach to tackling problems and a willingness to take on new tasks.<\/li>\n<li>The most important qualities required are diligence, resilience, self motivation, a flexible approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Duties Include<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertaking a variety of administrative tasks to support delivery of remote printing processes for decisions made in Sheffield and Abuja.<\/li>\n<li>Oversight of daily deliveries and dispatch of application dockets and decisions with the commercial partner; checking manifests and applications and ensuring that TEEs and bags are securely sealed.<\/li>\n<li>Photocopying and management of the registries; including weeding and destruction of files in accordance with destruction guidelines and under the direction of the entry clearance manager.<\/li>\n<li>Contacting customers as directed by the entry clearance officer\/manager.<\/li>\n<li>Managing the returned passport process in accordance with current guidance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Qualifications and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IT literate in terms of using computers for email on a daily basis.<\/li>\n<li>Able to communicate fluently in both written and verbal English.<\/li>\n<li>Previous working experience within the last 12 months of working within a visa section, or other departments within High Commissions or Embassies overseas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Desirable Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarity with software packages (notably MS Word, Excel and straightforward databases).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Required Competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Making Effective Decisions, Collaborating and Partnering, Managing a Quality Service, Delivering at Pace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting monthly salary: N 263,239<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Closing Date:\u00a0<\/strong>10th May 2017.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method of Application<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/fco.tal.net\/vx\/lang-en-GB\/mobile-0\/appcentre-1\/brand-2\/xf-d17bc715fac7\/candidate\/so\/pm\/4\/pl\/1\/opp\/3077-Entry-Clearance-Assistant-05-17-LOS\/en-GB\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/fco.tal.net\/vx\/lang-en-GB\/mobile-0\/appcentre-1\/brand-2\/xf-d17bc715fac7\/candidate\/so\/pm\/4\/pl\/1\/opp\/2250-Fuel-Co-ordinator-01-17-LOS-Internal-Job-Advert\/en-GB\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/a><strong>Additional Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please complete the application form in full.
