Its activities are based on the principles of solidarity, justice, human dignity, equality of rights and opportunities, and respect for diversity and coexistence, paying special attention to the most vulnerable and unprotected people.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<br \/>\n<b><br \/>\n<\/b><br \/>\n<strong>Job Title: Project Manager Health and Nutrition<\/strong><br \/>\n<b>Location:<\/b> Magumeri, Magumeri LGA, Borno State, Nigeria<br \/>\n<b>Starting Date:<\/b> ASAP<br \/>\n<b>Reporting to:<\/b> Head of Mission<br \/>\n<b>Supervision of: <\/b>Head of Mission<br \/>\n<b>Duration of Contract: <\/b>8 Months<br \/>\n<b>Dependents: <\/b>No<br \/>\n<b>General Context of the Project<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The incumbent will, under direct supervision of the Head of Mission, be in charge of the implementation of Health and Nutrition projects in Magumeri, Magumeri LGA, Borno State, Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>The incumbent will also coordinate with the Health and Nutrition expert, who will ensure a sound implementation and monitoring of all the foreseen activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Tasks and Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Health and Nutrition Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and supervision of projects\u2019 activities at all phases and is also responsible for achieving projects\u2019 objectives, ensuring that it will be completed within set time, budget and set quality. In particular he\/she will be responsible for:<\/li>\n<li>Implementation of the Health and Nutrition projects, according to the signed Agreements and further modification approved by the donor<\/li>\n<li>Assessments, projects\u2019 implementation and monitoring, reports (final and interim) preparations for institutional and public funding<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of all the accounting documents, including tender and procurement for intermediate and final financial reports required by the donor<\/li>\n<li>Maintain sound relationship with the donors<\/li>\n<li>Maintain ongoing surveillance of the developing humanitarian situation and adjust activities accordingly<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with local authorities in Magumeri, Magumeri LGA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Position Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Public Health, Nutrition or other<\/li>\n<li>Three years of relevant work experience dealing with humanitarian interventions, preferably in Nigeria or in English speaking African countries<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant program management or technical advisory roles in complex projects will be highly preferred<\/li>\n<li>Past overseas experience is essential<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience in Nigeria for more than one year desirable<\/li>\n<li>Experience in team management<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience and knowledge of working under humanitarian Cluster mechanism is highly desirable<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English is required<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility to respond to the changing nature of humanitarian context and operational difficulties in the field<\/li>\n<li>Ability to cope with stress and work well within multiethnic and multicultural teams<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to learn and take responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Management and leadership skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Protection Project Manager<\/strong><b><strong><br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong><\/b> Maiduguri, with frequent mission on the ground (Ngala LGA), Borno State, Nigeria<b><br \/>\nStarting date:<\/b> ASAP<b><br \/>\nReporting to:<\/b> Head of Mission<b><br \/>\nSupervision of:<\/b> Head of Mission<b><br \/>\nDuration of contract:<\/b> 8 months<b><br \/>\nDependents:<\/b> no<b><br \/>\n<strong>General Context of the project<\/strong> <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>INTERSOS intends to contribute towards enhancing protection, increasing safety and promoting dignity of conflict-affected returnees\u2019 women, men, girls and boys in Ngala LGA. The overarching objective of the intervention is to contribute towards increasing the overall emergency protection response capacity through:<\/li>\n<li>Identification of protection risks and people with specific needs through protection monitoring activities, including house to house visits, Key Informant Interviews, Focus Group Discussions;<\/li>\n<li>Provision of return assistance packages (NFIs and wet food rations) and basic assistance for Persons with Specific Needs (PSN).<\/li>\n<li>INTERSOS is already operational in the target areas, providing shelter assistance to IDPs and vulnerable host community in Ngala LGA. Additionally, since 2015, INTERSOS is conducting protection monitoring activities in Mayo-Tsanga, Mayo-Sava and Logone Et-Chary in Cameroun, in partnership with UNHCR, and community services intervention in favor of Nigerian refugees and asylum-seekers in Minawaio refugee camp hosting 62,328 refugees. Through the protection monitoring INTERSOS staff of Cameroun mission is able to monitor a vast area along the border of the two countries including Waza, Fotokol and Kolofata where multiple incidents related to the forces return of Nigerian asylum-seekers into Nigeria have been detected and reported.<\/li>\n<li>Through the presence in both sides of the border INTERSOS personnel have, therefore, developed an excellent understanding of the local dynamics: supporting the same PoC both in Nigeria and in Cameroun represents a solid added value which could help in enhancing the programmatic synergies and communication between the two missions and the teams working at the border, maximizing thus the impact of the operation in favor of the Nigerian asylum-seekers\/returnees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\n<b>The incumbent will, under overall supervision of the Head of Mission, be in charge of border protection activities in Ngala LGA, Borno State, Nigeria.
