We are dedicated in providing various services for commercial and public enterprise regardless of their size using Fiber, Satellite Technology and Radio Communication System.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Field Service Engineer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Lagos<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nJob purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the deployment, troubleshooting, integration and maintenance of various communication equipment (VSAT and Radio).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nStrategic Insight and Integration:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the Service Deployment manager to achieve the corporate objectives<\/li>\n<li>Attend project &amp; departmental meetings<\/li>\n<li>Provide inputs to the departmental annual budget<\/li>\n<li>Provide technological innovation to deploy services which are cost effective.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Technical \/ Analysis and Problem Solving:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures that surveys carried out are 90% accurate.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for configuring customer edge devices for integration of last mile connections like VSAT, Microwave Radio.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that there is no course to revisit sites deployed within 6month.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for documentation of installation activities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that bench test is carried on assigned equipment before embarking on any deployment.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures 90% implementation of Maintenance plan<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for testing and ensuring that signal strength, signal to noise ratio and any other parameters are in accordance to e.Stream approved standard.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the documentation of all deployment activities in accordance to service deployment procedure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interpersonal, Relationship Management &amp; Collaboration:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaise with 3rd party vendors to deliver projects<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain good working relationships with other departments, teams and Clients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Communication:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promptly report any incident, problems known errors, unexpected events or deviation from deployment plans.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver weekly reports on the status deployment<\/li>\n<li>Generate and submit periodic project and operational reports to the Regional Team Lead for informed decision making<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Customer Focus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Timely response to customer complaint<\/li>\n<li>Prompt resolution of 2nd level issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Financial Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recommend &amp; Implement cost saving initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nEducation &amp; Work Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Electronics Engineering or related field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years work experience in a relevant role.<\/li>\n<li>RF engineering experience working in the telecoms industry.<\/li>\n<li>Affiliation with relevant professional bodies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Competency, Skills &amp; The technologies he will be supporting includes, VPN, VSAT, Microwave Radio, Fiber, MPLS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nStrategic Insight and Integration:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the NPO manager to achieve the corporate objectives<\/li>\n<li>Attend project &amp; departmental meetings<\/li>\n<li>Provide inputs to the departmental annual budget<\/li>\n<li>Provide technological innovation to improve troubleshooting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Technical \/ Analysis and Problem Solving:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for troubleshooting Customer Edge Devices like VSAT modems, like, Access Radios, Microwave Radio<\/li>\n<li>Client bandwidth configuration on Edge devices.<\/li>\n<li>Regular training of Service Desk team members for effective 1st level troubleshooting<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical solutions to network issues escalated to the 2nd level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interpersonal, Relationship Management &amp; Collaboration:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaise with NPO, Service Deployment and Service Management teams to resolve all escalated issues<\/li>\n<li>Partner with third-party vendors to install and maintain all monitoring software and devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Communication:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Escalate service impacting issues outside span of control to the NPO Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver weekly reports on the status of the network and trends<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Customer Focus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor the Client devices to provide 99% service availability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Financial Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recommend cost-saving initiatives to the NPO manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nEducation &amp; Work Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Electronics Engineering or related field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years work experience as a Network\/ Field Engineer.<\/li>\n<li>Network experience in an ISP environment or a Systems Integration company with specialization in enterprise and service provider routing and switching solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Affiliation with relevant professional bodies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Competency, Skills &amp; Certifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CCNA Routing &amp; Switching\/SP, MTCNA, MTCRE,<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience in OSPF and BGP routing protocols<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Practical experience in deploying Access Radios for clients<\/li>\n<li>Relationship &amp; People Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Performance Indicators:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Achievement of 99% availability for clients network devices<\/li>\n<li>Resolution of escalated incidents within 30 minutes of escalation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Working Conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The incumbent may be required to sit in cold (air conditioned) rooms for a long time.<\/li>\n<li>The incumbent may be required to travel out of station often.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Physical Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position does not require any physically demanding task.
