It is designed to promote market orientation and enhance farmers profit, generating wealth and accelerating production. The company facilitates\u00a0external trade in the non-oil sector and help in the resuscitation of ailing local industries through the provision of needed raw materials. It is expected that within a very short time the impact of the company would be felt by the farmer, the consuming public and the nation\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the positions below:<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title: <\/b><strong>Managing Director<\/strong><b><\/b><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Kano<br \/>\n<b>Reports To:<\/b> Board of Directors<br \/>\n<b>Employment Type: <\/b>Full Time<br \/>\n<b>Grade Level: <\/b>Executive Management<br \/>\n<b>Start Date:<\/b> As Soon as Possible<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Managing Director (MD) is the Chief executive and Administrative Officer of the company and is responsible to the Board of Directors for the day-today management the company<\/li>\n<li>He or she is expected to give positive leadership and direction towards the realization of the objectives of the company<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Duties<\/b><br \/>\nThe specific duties of the Managing Director include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leadership and oversight of the New Nigeria Commodity Marketing Company Limited;<\/li>\n<li>Preparation and Submission of Strategic Plans and Budgets of the company to the Board of Directors<\/li>\n<li>Successful implementation of the company\u2019s approved plans and budgets;<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and controlling the financial performance of the company through monthly reviews and reporting;<\/li>\n<li>Safeguarding and ensuring the integrity of all assets of the company;<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with the project handling field operations,<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring efficient supply chain management and effective coordination of staff, consultants and strategic partners including local contractors, brokers and buying agents,<\/li>\n<li>Any other duty that may be assigned by the Board<\/li>\n<li>Building and maintaining an efficient management team;<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring prudent management of resources, financial transparent presentation to the Board of all incomes and expenditure of the company monthly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Required Qualifications and Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of first Degree in Agricultural Economics, Agriculture Business Administration or related fields. Possession of a higher Degree and professional qualification will be added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Ability to lead, develop and retain high performing individuals<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Experience in Public-Private Partnerships will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Competence in computer applications.<\/li>\n<li>Working experience\/knowledge of Africa preferably Nigeria and it\u2019s Northern States<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Project implementation and management<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in relation to building businesses around agricultural commodity marketing and trade, Supply chain management, financial services for the agricultural sector, storage and warehousing receipt systems, etc. 5 of this 15 years relevant experience must be at management level managing teams with responsibilities for key performance indicators<\/li>\n<li>Must have strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills, and creative problem-solving abilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Salary Package and Benefits<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The salary and allowances attached to this position are competitive and similar to those obtainable in the industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: General Manager (Operations)<\/strong><b><\/b><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Kano<br \/>\n<b>Reports To:<\/b> Managing Director<br \/>\n<b>Employment Type: <\/b>Full Time<br \/>\n<b>Grade Level:<\/b> Executive Management<br \/>\n<b>Start Date: <\/b>As Soon as Possible<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The General Manager (Operations) is to oversee the company\u2019s procurement and supply chain systems<\/li>\n<li>He or She is expected to contribute towards the achievement of the company\u2019s overall strategic and operational objectives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Duties<\/b><br \/>\nIn specific terms, the General Manager (Operations) is saddled with the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with the Project Implementation Manager (PIM) to oversee the company\u2019s procurement and supply chain operations, inventory management, and warehousing<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the security and safety of all procured commodities including ensuring that appropriate insurance covers are in place at all times,<\/li>\n<li>In conjunction with key relevant parties, determine and recommend NNCMC purchase prices of commodities and identify key procurement markets for the various commodities<\/li>\n<li>Perform periodic quality control checks and prepare periodic report on quality and conditions of all commodities in stock;<\/li>\n<li>Identify\/segregate warehouses, silos and other storage facilities according to products;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the recruitment and appointment of local Buying Agents (LBAs) and\u00a0 State Implementation Managers (SIMS)<\/li>\n<li>Carry out any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the MD.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Required Qualifications and Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant Bachelor\u2019s Degree or equivalent. Candidates with higher Degrees will have additional advantage<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software;<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Hausa Language will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Working experience\/knowledge of West Africa, preferably Nigeria and the Northern region of the country<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 12 years cognate experience in relation to commodity trading and marketing, and building businesses around agricultural commodity marketing and trade, supply chain model, financial services for the agric sector, storage and warehousing receipt system;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Salary Package and Benefits<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The salary and allowances attached to this position are competitive and similar to those obtainable in the industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><\/b><b>Note<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Incomplete applications will not be considered.<\/li>\n<li>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
