{"id":37925,"date":"2017-06-02T10:58:07","date_gmt":"2017-06-02T09:58:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=37925"},"modified":"2017-06-02T11:00:12","modified_gmt":"2017-06-02T10:00:12","slug":"top-vacancy-michael-stevens-consulting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/top-vacancy-michael-stevens-consulting.html","title":{"rendered":"Top Vacancy At Michael Stevens Consulting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Michael Stevens Consulting &#8211; We are a long established and well respected multi-disciplinary management and financial consulting firm with offices in several locations across Nigeria.<br \/>\nWe are currently recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title: <\/b><strong>Head of Procurement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Location:<\/b> Rivers<b><br \/>\nJob Description<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to manage the company\u2019s supply of products and services.<\/li>\n<li>The Procurement Manager\u2019s duty is to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, so that the company can invest in growth and people.<\/li>\n<li>Procurement Manager responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies<\/li>\n<li>Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms<\/li>\n<li>Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services<\/li>\n<li>Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company<\/li>\n<li>Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients<\/li>\n<li>Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies<\/li>\n<li>Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements<\/li>\n<li>Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries<\/li>\n<li>Examine and test existing contracts<\/li>\n<li>Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven working experience as a procurement manager or procurement officer<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in \u201creading\u201d the market<\/li>\n<li>Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers<\/li>\n<li>Experience in collecting and analyzing data<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership capabilities<\/li>\n<li>B.Sc degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration\/Finance\/Accounts\/Economics<\/li>\n<li>Talent in negotiations and networking<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><br \/>\nHow to Apply<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV&#8217;s to: <b>recruitment.ph@michaelstevens-consulting.com<\/b> with job title as subect<\/p>\n<p><b>Application Deadline: <\/b>14th June, 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michael Stevens Consulting &#8211; We are a long established and well respected multi-disciplinary management and financial consulting firm with offices in several locations across Nigeria.
