Using photos, text and video, The organisation encourages citizen journalism and provide its audience sound and balanced news on a daily basis.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position of a reporter.<\/p>\n<p><b>JOB TITLE:<\/b> <strong>NEWS REPORTER <\/strong><br \/>\n<b>LOCATION: <\/b>LAGOS<b> <\/b><br \/>\n<b>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Writing and editing news and analysis for a well-informed, specialist audience<\/li>\n<li>Developing a broad range of contacts including executives, regulators and advisors, and monitoring client and industry needs<\/li>\n<li>Scoop, collect, verify and analyze newsworthy information<\/li>\n<li>Investigate news tips\/leads<\/li>\n<li>Maintain notes and audio recordings<\/li>\n<li>Stay up-to-date with current events in the finance, banking, economy, technology, and oil and gas sectors<\/li>\n<li>Publish news stories<\/li>\n<li>Contact, interview and research sources<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with editors, sub-editors and journalists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>REQUIREMENTS<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluent written\/spoken English<\/li>\n<li>Strong writing and analytical skills.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity and engagement with social media<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiasm and motivation to take ownership of specific geographical or thematic areas within the editorial team.<\/li>\n<li>Proven working experience as a reporter<\/li>\n<li>Portfolio of published articles\/news stories<\/li>\n<li>Broad knowledge of headlines<\/li>\n<li>Computer proficiency (MS Office, Wordpress usage)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent lobbying and listening skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>HOW TO APPLY<\/b><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CVs alongside 3<br \/>\narticles that you feel best showcase your writing skills to<br \/>\n<b>davebrookpr@davebrookpr.com<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A fast-growing online media platform that focusing on Banking, Finance, Economy, Technology, and Oil and Gas.
