Its first bottle of beer, STAR Lager, rolled off the bottling lines of its Lagos Brewery in June 1949. Nigerian Breweries is\u00a0recruiting for <strong>Tax Manager<\/strong> to be based in the Lagos headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>THE JOB<\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the Finance Director, the Tax Manager functions as an internal tax specialist\/ advisor to the company.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate works in close collaboration with federal, state and local government tax authorities to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure the development, update of the company\u2019s tax and other related policies and guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Ensure alignment of our tax policies and guidelines with relevant loca legislation<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and negotiate tax contracts with the relevant authorities on behalf of the company<\/li>\n<li>Steer, advice and report the company\u2019s financials from tax perspectives<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all relevant aspect of local tax legislation are fully embedded in the company\u2019s tax declaration and continuously monitor compliance of the same<\/li>\n<li>Take functional ownership of all tax aspects in the consolidated financial report and other key tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>THE PERSON<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will ideally have the following profile:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not older than 35 years of age by 30th June, 2010.<\/li>\n<li>Qualified and experience tax professional with broad background in local tax administration ( including excise corporate\/ personal income tax)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 6 years cognate experience (Post NYSC) as Tax Manager, Tax Consultant or Tax Counsel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Educational \/ Professional Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 credit in WASC\/GCE O Level including English language and mathematics, first degree (minimum second class lower) preferably in accounting, social sciences, Law or any other numerate discipline.
