In 2004, the company won the President&#8217;s Merit Award for the Insurance Sector, awarded by the Nigeria Stock Exchange.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the positions below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Insurance Underwriter<\/strong><br \/>\n<b>Location: <\/b>Lagos<strong><br \/>\nJob Objective<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyse risk in Insurance proposals, determine policy terms and calculate premiums<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake Risk Evaluation analysis; pricing and Underwriting<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Broker Portfolios Loss Profile<\/li>\n<li>determine and advise the Reinsurance appropriate placement of excess capacity risk or risk of adverse features including internal co-insurance where necessary<\/li>\n<li>Regular monitoring of the risk exposures viz a viz the Company\u2019s risk appetite and retention for each business portfolio.<\/li>\n<li>Generating Online Marine transactions update<\/li>\n<li>Assesses branch marine transactions to ensure they meet with company standards.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting marketing initiatives by generating tailor made proposals for specific client\u2019s insurance requirements<\/li>\n<li>Attends to all RFQ (Request for Quotation)<\/li>\n<li>Provide effective technical back up support to the marketers in order to deliver a pleasant customer experience and professional risk management advisory services<\/li>\n<li>Upload of vehicles into Nigerian Insurance Industry Database (NIID).<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Full compliance to Underwriting Guidelines\/Standard Operating Procedures<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and deliver policy deliverables (i.e. policy documents, endorsements, Certificates, Warranties and Clauses as well as Debit and Credit Notes to Clients\/Brokers<\/li>\n<li>Timely keying in and approval of business transactions<\/li>\n<li>Generation of Reports for Regular review and reconciliation ensuring completeness and accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Ensure payment to co-insurers and service providers are processed on timely<\/li>\n<li>Experience based risk pricing in order to achieve profitable underwriting results.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and deliver policy deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Compute loss ratios of all renewable policies using the Paid and Outstanding Claim schedules<\/li>\n<li>Generate renewal letters of all renewable policies that fall within the acceptable loss ratios<\/li>\n<li>Review renewal terms and conditions of policies with unfavourable loss ratios<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Person Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc.\/HND in relevant discipline, ACII<\/li>\n<li>Proven Insurance Underwriting Skills<\/li>\n<li>Confident decision making skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of insurance policies<\/li>\n<li>Proven numeracy and statistical skills<\/li>\n<li>Possession of a Masters degree is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years\u2019 relevant experience<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of MS Office Suite<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Financial Auditor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carry out a detailed verification of ledgers postings from the books of primary entry, the totals and also balances of the accounts, the comparison of schedule of balances with the balances of various personal and nominal accounts or with the balances in the controls account.<\/li>\n<li>Appraise for accuracy and completeness the postings to: bought ledger, sales ledger, general ledger, main journal and self-balancing and sectional balancing ledger.<\/li>\n<li>Review for completeness and accuracy all Balance sheet accounts &#8211; Petty cash, checking and savings accounts, Investments, Receivables, Capital assets &#8211; Payables.<\/li>\n<li>Review for completeness and accuracy all income statement accounts &#8211; Tax revenues, General revenues, Payroll disbursements, Overhead disbursements.<\/li>\n<li>Review to ensure all reconciliation of accounts has been done and suspense accounts zerorised before the month book closing.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure appropriate journals are being raised for items requiring adjustments prior to the end of the month book closing.<\/li>\n<li>Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing and analyzing items and collateral to documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Completes audit work papers and memoranda by documenting audit tests and findings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc in Accounting with at least 7 years cognate experience<\/li>\n<li>Relevant professional qualification &#8211; ACA or ACCA.<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years of External Audit experience which includes, auditing of insurance firms.<\/li>\n<li>Must have worked in supervisory capacity, with down reporting lines.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Audit Report writing and memorandum.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use ACL audit software is a must.<\/li>\n<li>Practical experience in IT Audit is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Head, Information Technology<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong> Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Role Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He has overall responsibility for information technology (IT), manages and coordinates the technical infrastructural services and resources in alignment with the business objectives of Linkage Assurance Plc.<\/li>\n<li>The Head, IT is responsible for the delivery of digital platforms, planning, forecasting the technical services and resources to support the infrastructural and Information System (IS) needs of Linkage Assurance Plc and works closely in concert with Linkage Assurance Plc Software Engineer\/IT Consultant and IT contractors to ensure integration of systems and technology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development and implementation of ICT strategy for Linkage Assurance Plc.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends and anticipating requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee ICT support (infrastructure development, systems support and maintenance) for Linkage Assurance Plc.<\/li>\n<li>Migrate manual processes to digital platforms and deploy easy to use solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Creates a cost-benefit analysis as well as supporting a detailed definition of data requirements and departmental workflows.<\/li>\n<li>Benchmark Linkage Assurance Plc against up to date ICT practices and adapt accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>Proactively identify and develop new and innovative ways of improving IT processes within Linkage Assurance Plc.<\/li>\n<li>Assess and anticipate technological projects and recommend appropriate action and resources.<\/li>\n<li>Lead, motivate and develop the capability of the ICT team, to achieve agreed annual targets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vast knowledge of IT Management<\/li>\n<li>Software Development<\/li>\n<li>Insurance practice<\/li>\n<li>Data Management<\/li>\n<li>B.Sc.
