From July 5 to August 30, 2017.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Aims and Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The primary aim of this KAP study is to examine the knowledge, attitude and practice of various stakeholders including policy makers, traditional and religious leaders, community members and health care providers towards Child Eye health (CEH).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Methodology<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This survey will be conducted using a combination of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Scope of Work<br \/>\n<\/strong>In order to achieve the study objectives as stated above, the successful candidate, together with the study team will accomplish tasks as outlined below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop research protocol<\/li>\n<li>Conduct desk review<\/li>\n<li>Develop data collection tools, field test and finalize tools<\/li>\n<li>Train local enumerators, FGD moderators and note takers<\/li>\n<li>Carry out field work for data collection<\/li>\n<li>Conduct analysis<\/li>\n<li>Write report<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For the purpose of this survey, a consultant with proven expertise in qualitative and quantitative studies will be contracted on a short-term engagement to act as the Principal Investigator who will lead the study.<\/li>\n<li>The SiB Programme Director (PD) will provide oversight and technical guidance to the study, drawing support from the representative of the Country Office to ensure that the entire process is of the highest quality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specific Tasks<\/strong><br \/>\nThe consultant shall, in consultation with SiB\/CBM team members, oversee the implementation of the study in the four clusters and the FCT, including the following tasks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development, pre-test, review and finalization of study tools<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the data collection in the states.<\/li>\n<li>Guide note taking and recording of discussion and interview<\/li>\n<li>Guide the transcription of FGDs notes<\/li>\n<li>Conduct analysis of findings of both the quantitative and qualitative data using data analysis software (SPSS and ATLAS ti 8.0) in conjunction with the data analyst.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and submit a draft report of the study, revise and finalize the quantitative and qualitative report and submit an acceptable report to the SiB\/CBM Programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An advanced Degree in Demography, Social or Behavioral Sciences, Statistics or related field is required, a Ph.D in the area listed will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated expertise in rigorous quantitative and qualitative research design, implementation and analytical methods.<\/li>\n<li>At least ten years\u2019 experience in conduct and management of mixed studies<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work under time pressure<\/li>\n<li>Experience in conducting independent qualitative and quantitative, studies, assessments, and data analysis are highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent ability in qualitative data analysis and interpretation<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated report writing skills for qualitative and quantitative studies<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of the context and setting of interventions in Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>Hausa\/Yoruba and \/or Efik languages are desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nHow to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified research organizations and individuals should send their applications to: <strong>jobs.nigeria@cbm.org<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Application Deadline \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>30th June, 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Christoffel Blinden Mission (CBM), is a Christian international development organisation, committed to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities in the poorest communities of the world irrespective of&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10164,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
