In doing so we give our people direct responsibility, career development and the opportunity to work on some fascinating projects in a rewarding, diverse and enjoyable environment.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Researcher \u2013 Nigeria and West Africa<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\nDepartment: Compliance, Forensics and Intelligence (CFI)<br \/>\nManager: Associate Director, Nigeria<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To conduct desktop research in order to gather, analyse and present publicly-available information in Nigeria and West Africa in support of business intelligence projects which are focused on identifying issues related to integrity, anti-corruption and good corporate governance.<\/li>\n<li>As a researcher in our team, you will work with colleagues who are self-driven, passionate about African business and politics and who are curious and informed about the governance challenges faced by businesses in West Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Our consultants have a background in law, business consulting, business administration, finance, journalism, among others. The diversity of our consultants makes our strength: we welcome candidates who can demonstrate a high level of maturity and professionalism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nWith guidance from senior team members, the Researcher will be responsible for the following:<br \/>\nInvestigative case work:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct thorough online and database research on third parties using complex search criteria<\/li>\n<li>Analyse research results within the context of the project and suggest additional avenues of research<\/li>\n<li>Summarise research findings into draft reports for consultants on larger projects<\/li>\n<li>Draft reports for external clients on research-only projects<\/li>\n<li>Support consultants in more complex or multi-jurisdictional tasks<\/li>\n<li>Undertake case-related administrative tasks including liaison with subcontractors, invoice approval and provide support to the case manager in proposal and report writing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Business and practice development:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carry out background research to support client development<\/li>\n<li>Prepare focused briefings for client initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to marketing and profile raising events<\/li>\n<li>Seek opportunities to be involved in product development with seniors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Level and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education to degree level<\/li>\n<li>2-3 years\u2019 demonstrated professional experience<\/li>\n<li>Right to work in Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Experience of operating within a commercial environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Skills Set:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written English<\/li>\n<li>Ability to summarise large amounts of information in a concise manner and communicate effectively for colleagues and clients<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills<\/li>\n<li>Interest in key issues and business trends in the region<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies<\/strong><br \/>\nSolutions Focused:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Takes the initiative to proactively resolve issues within own remit and recognise when requires escalation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Client Centric:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Uses own knowledge and experience to make sounds judgements or assist others with sound judgement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One Firm:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understands how and where own activities and projects contribute to the financial success of organisation; understands and acts upon the financial factors that influence the business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Behaviours:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All employees are expected to display behaviours reflective of our company values: Integrity and Ethics, Collaboration and Teamwork, Commitment to People and Professionalism and Excellence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Associate Consultant \u2013 Nigeria and West Africa<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Job Descriptions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The business intelligence team sits within our Compliance, Forensics &amp; Intelligence practice. The practice provides business intelligence, reputational due diligence as well as ethics &amp; compliance consulting services to both local and international businesses operating in West Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Our clients come to us for support dealing with complex issues \u2013 in particular identifying and managing third party integrity risks and embedding best practice anti-corruption frameworks into their organisations.<\/li>\n<li>Our associate consultants work within an experienced team, delivering solutions to senior company executives in influential organisations across the region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This is a client facing role and you will work with within an experienced team, delivering solutions to senior company executives on business intelligence projects which are focused on identifying issues related to integrity, anti-corruption and good corporate governance.<\/li>\n<li>As a consultant in our team, you will work with colleagues who are self-driven, passionate about African business and politics and who are curious and informed about the governance challenges faced by businesses in West Africa.
