With joining MainOne you&#8217;ll be challenged, inspired and proud as you become a part of something big.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the following graduate and experienced positions below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: IP Intern<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: Lagos<\/strong><br \/>\nDepartment: Technical<br \/>\nReporting Line: Manager, IP Operations<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The IP (Trainee) Engineer will be responsible for supporting his colleagues in designing, integrating and implementing IP based services on the Main One network and or customer networks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other Responsibilities Include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitoring of network elements and ensuring prompt repair and restoration of all faulty\/down sites\/links.<\/li>\n<li>Installation, configuration and maintenance of network andsecurity infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls,VPN, proxy servers.<\/li>\n<li>Performing routine checks and maintenance on all network elements.<\/li>\n<li>Managing bandwidth of the IP backbone for optimal performance.<\/li>\n<li>Working and cooperating with internal and external groups when required in order to fully support environments and maintain service.<\/li>\n<li>Field support and provisioning support tasks as a method to encourage learning and responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to initiatives for driving down incident rates and working with 1st line Operations and Operations Engineers within specialist functional teams, to improve service recovery times.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and tracking of inputs in the Document Management Server.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc in Computer Science or other relevant disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>1 year post NYSC experience.<\/li>\n<li>Relevant certifications, preferably CCNA. An MCP or CCNP will be an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Competencies Required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic knowledge of networking technologies &#8211; TCP\/IP, BGP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls, Proxy etc.<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of networks<\/li>\n<li>Good oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Time management and personal effectiveness skills<\/li>\n<li>Relationship management<\/li>\n<li>Team work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Demands of the Job:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability and willingness to work long hours and meet tight deadlines;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under minimal supervision<\/li>\n<li>Reliability, rigour, team-spirit, service oriented and initiative in the execution of the assigned work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>IP System Administrator<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>:<strong> Lagos, Nigeria.<\/strong><br \/>\nDepartment: Technical<br \/>\nReporting Line:\u00a0 Manager, IP Operations<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The IP System Administrator primarily provides support to the IPNGN Virtual infrastructure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Specifically, the IP System Administrator\u2019s responsibilities shall include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrityand availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.<\/li>\n<li>Apply OS\/Hypervisor\/Firmware\/applications patches and upgrades as demanded, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure \/ add new services.<\/li>\n<li>Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
