{"id":39930,"date":"2017-07-20T10:55:13","date_gmt":"2017-07-20T09:55:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=39930"},"modified":"2017-07-20T15:02:52","modified_gmt":"2017-07-20T14:02:52","slug":"entry-level-vacancies-international-committee-red-cross-2-positions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/entry-level-vacancies-international-committee-red-cross-2-positions.html","title":{"rendered":"Entry Level Vacancies At International Committee of the Red Cross [2 Positions]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Abuja and Maiduguri Sub Delegations are looking for suitable candidates to fill the vacancies below.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Water and Habitat Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Main Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the team in follow up of basic administrative procedures: payment, correspondence, hand over and donation certificates;<\/li>\n<li>Update list of retention periods and expiry dates for all water and habitat projects<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all relevant documents for contracts (Requisition orders, Purchase Orders, contracts, amendments, and selection tablets) are available, archived and shared with all staff concerned.<\/li>\n<li>Assist Water and Habitat staff to retire invoices and clear the cash advance;<\/li>\n<li>Collect data of project beneficiaries from engineers in change, compile and submit to Team Leader<\/li>\n<li>Ensures information flow within the department<\/li>\n<li>Organizes Water and Habitat department internal weekly meeting with inputs of the Team Leader, prepares and share lists of action points for follow-up<\/li>\n<li>Compiles contributions to the Weekly Operational Report and submit to the Team Leader<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Higher diploma in accounting and\/or technical certificate in secretariat or equivalent training<\/li>\n<li>1-2 years in same experience<\/li>\n<li>Good computer skills<\/li>\n<li>Good command of written and spoken English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal Attributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High capacity to work in a team.<\/li>\n<li>High motivation and proactivity, taking responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Good Planning and Organization skills<\/li>\n<li>Very good communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Restoring Family Link (RFL) Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Main Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supports the coordination of ICRC\/Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) RFL activities in the different regions and the implementation of RFL activities in Abuja<\/li>\n<li>In charge of office-based tasks, such as reporting, filing, submitting and reconciling expense reports, corresponding with the teams on the field<\/li>\n<li>Receives visits and phone enquiries from the beneficiaries and respond to them<\/li>\n<li>Supports the team in field work, when needed, which entails traveling within the area of responsibility, sometimes for several days<\/li>\n<li>Participates in the preparation and logistics of RFL trainings held by ICRC and NRCS<\/li>\n<li>Raises Requisition Orders to purchase the items needed for field activities<\/li>\n<li>Interviews beneficiaries for RFL purposes and documents cases<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the management of the stock and dispatch of dissemination material<\/li>\n<li>Helps maintain regular contact with the beneficiaries with periodical follow-up by phone and visits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree or specialized training;<\/li>\n<li>2 years work experience in humanitarian work;<\/li>\n<li>Very good command of written and spoken English, and spoken Hausa; Kanuri and\/or French are an asset;<\/li>\n<li>Very good computer skills, in particular with Excel, Word, if possible PowerPoint;<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of Nigerian geography.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal Attributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good analytical skills;<\/li>\n<li>Detail-orientation and precision;<\/li>\n<li>Very good writing and reporting skills;<\/li>\n<li>Capacity to work within a team;<\/li>\n<li>Good inter-personal skills: ability to deal with people respectfully and showing empathy towards others, very good communication skills;<\/li>\n<li>Committed to work and able to work under supervision or independently as required;<\/li>\n<li>Able to work under pressure;
