\nLOCATION: ONBOARD NLNG SHIPS<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

THE JOB<\/strong>
\nThe appointee will be required to keep a safe navigation and cargo watch and maintain the deck fire and safety equipment.<\/p>\n

THE DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Ensure the safety of all personnel working for him, especially as the aft mooring station when arriving and leaving the ports
\n\u2022 Maintain and ensure all deck portable fire fighting equipment, life saving appliances and associated records are properly kept.
\n\u2022 Ensure the safe working of the navigational equipment and conduct routine checks and tests of these equipments
\n\u2022 Act as nominated officer for the GMDSS station, when required, with responsibility for associated tests and records
\n\u2022 Maintain navigational watch when vessel is at sea and cargo watch at loading\/discharge ports<\/p>\n

THE PERSON
\nTHE RIGHT PERSON SHOULD:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Possess a Class 3 (Deck) Certificate of Competency (CoC)
\n\u2022 Possession of HND\/BSc will be an added advantage.
\n\u2022 Possess 3 years\u2019 seagoing experience
\n\u2022 Possession of 1 year experience on LNG\/LPG carrier will be an added advantage
\n\u2022 Possess knowledge of Shipping Operations in the shipping and marine industry
\n\u2022 Be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.<\/p>\n
