Since its founding in 1977, Creative has earned a solid reputation among its clients and is well-regarded by competitors and partners alike.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Team Lead<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Requisition Number:<\/strong>\u00a017-0270<br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Abuja<strong><br \/>\nPosition Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creative is seeking a Team Lead for a U.K. Department for International Development (DFID)-funded project proposal that seeks to address corruption in Nigeria.<\/li>\n<li>The Team Lead is to be based in Abuja, Nigeria and will have overall management responsibility for the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reporting &amp; Supervision:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position reports to the Program Director in the CIT Division or his designee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Team Lead will be responsible for the technical leadership and in-country management of the project.<\/li>\n<li>S\/he will oversee the long-term expatriate and local staff and short-term experts in achieving project results.<\/li>\n<li>S\/he will undertake regular assessments of the broader political environment within which the project operates to ensure flexibility and rapid reprioritization of activities when necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other Responsibilities Include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as principal liaison with U.K. Government representatives, Nigerian government counterparts and community stakeholders on program communications and technical implementation activities.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee implementation of project monitoring and evaluation activities and ensure that project results are met.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise development and submission of project deliverables and provide timely and accurate reporting and briefings to U.K. Government\/Stakeholders on all program areas.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with all terms of the project contract and all relevant DFID and U.K. Government rules and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee implementation of Creative\u2019s security protocols and provide leadership in handling security-related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical direction and leadership and oversight of all administrative matters.<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support to the team in all program areas.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement work plans for project activities.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the program team in a manner that is open and respectful and encourages professional development, and solicits constructive staff input.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 10 years\u2019 experience as a team lead, chief of party or similar in a related management role.<\/li>\n<li>At least 8-10 years of relevant experience working for a DFID Contractor or international NGO; at least 5 of which should be in a supervisory capacity.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience working in the region.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity and experience working with U.K. Government.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience and knowledge in establishing systems and overseeing program start-up and close-out.<\/li>\n<li>3-5 years of experience working with anti-corruption programming, rule of law initiatives, and organizational development with local organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with activity design, development, implementation and comprehensive monitoring and evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical capacity.<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited university in a relevant field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Desired Skills &amp; Supervision:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position reports to the Chief of Party in the CIT Division or his designee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Deputy Team Lead will serve as an anti-corruption Subject Matter Expert and will be responsible for interfacing with partner and other agencies to drive completion of project goals.<\/li>\n<li>S\/he will provide strategic guidance on anti-corruption planning and will oversee the expatriate and local staff assigned to his\/her component.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other responsibilities include:<br \/>\nUnder the supervision of the Team Lead, the Deputy Team Lead is responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Programmatic aspects of the program. S\/he or his or her designee will supervise the activity development staff and other staff involved in activity development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure appropriate implementation of program strategy;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that procedures are established and complied with for activity development, activity worthiness, activity implementation, management, monitoring, evaluation, and closing;<\/li>\n<li>Work with the Team Lead, Monitoring and Evaluation and Research Manager, and local staff to improve implementation processes throughout the program;<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the Team Lead\u2019s primary point of contact for current information about the status of activity design and implementation;<\/li>\n<li>Identifyprogram opportunities and potential local partners;<\/li>\n<li>Act as the Chief of Party when s\/he is absent from the program; and<\/li>\n<li>Perform additional tasks as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least six (6) years of experience implementing democracy and governance programming, with significant experience in elections and political processes, civic engagement\/civil society, governance, or institutional development, in a development country context, of which two (2) years must be experience in a management role;<\/li>\n<li>Experience in fragile or post-conflict states, preferably in West Africa;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated capacity to develop solid working relationships with senior government officials, local governments, non-governmental institutions, and coordination with other donors. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
