The organization tackles the world\u2019s most pressing health threats and, in collaboration with partners around the world, implements transformative solutions to meet the health needs of individuals.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Communications and Community Mobilization Technical Lead<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Project Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), ICAP conducts Population-based HIV Impact Assessments (PHIAs) in specific PEPFAR-supported countries. Each PHIA defines the status of the national HIV epidemic, guide global and local allocation of funding and resources based on evidence, and integrate capacity building of country stakeholders in the design, conduct, analysis, and use of PHIA data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the supervision of the Project Director (PD), The Communications and Community Mobilization Technical Lead will be responsible for coordinating the overall implementation of community-based activities and developing content for and implementing the communications strategy for the PHIA Nigeria project (NPHIA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Major Accountabilities<\/strong><br \/>\nCommunity Mobilization:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To lead the development of criteria and scopes of work for identification and recruitment of community mobilizers (CM).<\/li>\n<li>To establish the supervision and monitoring plan for implementing partner-led community mobilization procedures and activities prior to a survey team entering an Enumeration Area (EA), during survey data collection, and after survey teams depart from the EA<\/li>\n<li>To develop CM materials in concert with other stakeholders, that are consistent with the national policy framework. Develop SOPs and tools for community entry procedures, community level sensitization, survey team feedback and responses to community reactions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Communications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate and ensure implementation of project and survey communication strategy, including communications at national, provincial, district and community levels including community mobilization.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that implementing partners establish CM activities consistent with the technical and branding requirements established by ICAP and CDC<\/li>\n<li>Adapt NPHIA messages to the local context and ensure they are translated into local languages<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with established branding strategy, correct logo placement, and donor and partner recognition on all communications.<\/li>\n<li>Work with local stakeholders to develop, write, lay out, produce and distribute a range of key communications materials<\/li>\n<li>Lead an effective media engagement strategy, including writing and distributing press releases, feature articles, opinion pieces, and similar materials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications and Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of five years of experience working on public health projects either in the headquarters of an international organization or in resource-limited settings in the field.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience implementing communications for a public health program or campaign<\/li>\n<li>Formal training in Community Development or Social Work<\/li>\n<li>At least three years\u2019 work experience in community development and or community mobilization position<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the use of community participatory methodologies in health promotion<\/li>\n<li>Experience in training, advocacy for change and ability to influence behavior<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of current social, economic, and public health issues related to STD and HIV.<\/li>\n<li>Proven leadership, management, communication, inter\u2010personal, decision\u2010making and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Fluent English oral and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally in English.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing ability, strong interpersonal, group facilitation and oral presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, preferably in Nigeria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary and Benefits<\/strong><br \/>\nCompetitive package.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Field Work Management and Implementation Technical Lead<br \/>\nLocation<\/strong>: Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Job\u00a0 Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), ICAP conducts Population-based HIV Impact Assessments (PHIAs) in specific PEPFAR-supported countries. Each PHIA defines the status of the national HIV epidemic, guide global and local allocation of funding and resources based on evidence, and integrate capacity building of country stakeholders in the design, conduct, analysis, and use of PHIA data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reporting to the PHIA Nigeria (NPHIA) Project Director, the Field Work Management and Implementation Technical Lead (The Field Lead) will be responsible for ensuring that direct NPHIA survey implementing partners are planning, deploying, implementing and supervising data collection activities for NPHIA.<\/li>\n<li>This Technical Lead will serve as the main point of contact between NPHIA implementing partners, State government, and ICAPfor survey implementation.<\/li>\n<li>The Field Lead will ensure that implementing partners are supervising survey team performance and are monitoring progress toward reaching daily and weekly recruitment targets.<\/li>\n<li>The Field Lead will troubleshoot challenges that arise from implementation or are noted in data review, and coordinate quality assurance monitoring in collaboration with partner institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Major Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a survey quality assurance monitoring plan and oversee its implementation in the field.<\/li>\n<li>Develop survey quality monitoring assurance SOPs, tools and reports.
