PYXERA Global is currently implementing an agriculture development program in Nigeria funded by The Rockefeller Foundation that aims to reduce post-harvest loss along the tomato value chain. The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager will provide technical expertise for project monitoring and evaluation related activities and team training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Monitoring and Evaluation Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Kano<br \/>\n<strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager will report directly to the Nigeria YieldWise Project Director and will have the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monitoring and Evaluation related responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Management of field project monitoring and evaluation activities<\/li>\n<li>Create and revise field data collection tools and procedure (logframe, project performance tracking against targets, indicators, data flow charts and M&amp;E manual) with HQ support<\/li>\n<li>Provide training to team on M&amp;E tools and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Suggest effective and efficient ways to facilitate field data collection and the flow of data within the team<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accuracy and quality data collection, including conducting field visits<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper and regular updating of the project database<\/li>\n<li>Develop monthly, quarterly and annual project M&amp;E quantitative reports<\/li>\n<li>Recommend to the Project Director tools and strategies to increase project performance and results<\/li>\n<li>Identify strengths and weaknesses in the existing data collection methods and management system, and propose solutions<\/li>\n<li>Conduct field assessments as necessary, analyse and report findings on post-harvest loss<\/li>\n<li>Manage M&amp;E consultants for project surveys<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Leadership and Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical leadership for the monitoring and evaluation team<\/li>\n<li>Propose strategy to increase demand and data use among team members<\/li>\n<li>Support project staff in identifying project information needs<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the collation of the weekly quantitative performance reports<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely responses to data requests from the Project Director and HQ staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements, Knowledge &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in related field; Master\u2019s degree preferred<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 8 years of M&amp;E work experience, preferably in agricultural development<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge of data collection and management tools and applications such as CommCare, SPSS, and STATA, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated analytical ability<\/li>\n<li>Experience in program design and M&amp;E planning<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience with international development principles and practices<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and Hausa required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their CVs to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:yieldwiserecruitment@pyxeraglobal.org\"><strong>yieldwiserecruitment@pyxeraglobal.org<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0by September 5th, 2017.
