We launched in July 2012 and our mission is to become the engine of ecommerce and trade in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>We serve an ever expanding customer base, offering products that span various categories including Phones, Computers, Clothing, Shoes, Home Appliances, Books, Healthcare, Baby Products, personal care and much more.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0UI Designer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Job Description<\/strong><br \/>\nAs a UI Designer, a typical day might include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish and drive the online brand strategy across all platforms<\/li>\n<li>Define and maintain brand digital design standards and guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Lead the creation of user-centric UI designs and interactions, with a focus on mobile first design<\/li>\n<li>Work directly with UX designers to define visual layouts and execute the visual implementation of prototypes, wireframes and customer feedback into exceptional user interfaces<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business stakeholders and Developers throughout the design process<\/li>\n<li>Execute\/review various visual design stages from concept to final Development hand-off<\/li>\n<li>Gather internal feedback to refine and iterate on concepts and perform revisions based on user feedback<\/li>\n<li>Coach, and mentor junior UI Designers by guiding and reviewing their work<\/li>\n<li>Offer recommendations in order to improve efficiency and quality of work<\/li>\n<li>Stay up to date with competitive and web design trends and technologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Skills and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant degree\/diploma<\/li>\n<li>Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications \/ Sketch<\/li>\n<li>At least 4 years UI design experience with a strong portfolio of work across multiple digital platforms<\/li>\n<li>Strong mobile and app design experience<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and proven experience of UI design for mobile first projects<\/li>\n<li>Strong digital brand style guide and brand asset management experience<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience working in e-commerce\/travel\/transactional platforms<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of the technical aspects of digital design and how they influence design decisions<\/li>\n<li>A keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and see projects through to completion<\/li>\n<li>Deadline driven with the ability to work at a fast pace when needed<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of user experience or experience working with UX designers<\/li>\n<li>A passion for UI design and the desire to make a difference<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bonus Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience working in an Agile development environment<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with Jira as a project management tool<\/li>\n<li>An understanding and appreciation of user centred design<\/li>\n<li>Experience working on feature phone UI design\/design for Opera Mini<\/li>\n<li>Wireframing experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/395856005?trkInfo=searchKeywordString%3A%2CsearchLocationString%3A%252C%2B%2Cvertical%3Ajobs%2CpageNum%3A1%2Cposition%3A1%2CMSRPsearchId%3A273becaf-f6a2-4bed-9690-9c381a3b259a&amp;refId=273becaf-f6a2-4bed-9690-9c381a3b259a&amp;trk=jobs_jserp_job_listing_text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Konga.com is Nigeria\u2019s largest online marketplace.
