We provide individually-tailored compensation packages that can be comprised of competitive salary, bonus, and equity components, along with the opportunity to earn further financial bonuses and rewards.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Head of Startup Success and Services, Accelerator \u2013 Africa<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Google\u2019s projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it\u2019s your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project\u2019s progress and deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Launchpad helps mentor startups in 40+ countries across 5 continents. We run Google\u2019s Accelerator for emerging markets and support other Google tech and market initiatives. Our aim is to share proven best practices back to startups, mentors and partners we engage with and provide feedback and learnings for Google product and other teams.<\/li>\n<li>As the Head of Startup Success and Services for Google Launchpad Accelerator Africa, you will play a key role building and actioning on the Accelerator values to startups, from the mentorship and services, through the startup journey and ensuring our startups reach their desired goals. You\u2019ll spend extensive time on the ground with startups in Sub-Saharan Africa, along with other emerging markets.<\/li>\n<li>Google is and always will be an engineering company. From AdWords to Chrome, Android to YouTube, Social to Local, Google engineers are changing the world one technological achievement after another.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Action on the services and startup strategy for Launchpad\u2019s Accelerator Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Support and improve on existing Accelerator program strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Identify key startups to bring into Launchpad\u2019s ecosystem, and manage relationships with them.<\/li>\n<li>Act as the point of contact for all regional stakeholders including mentors, partners, investors and internal teams.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and evolve regional positioning for Launchpad tailored to startups and mentors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><br \/>\nMinimum qualifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BA\/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in Product Marketing, managing agency partners, developing co-marketing campaigns and organizing large scale marketing events.<\/li>\n<li>Expertise working in startup accelerators, incubators and\/or venture capitals.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with venture capital firms, angel investors, and\/or startup accelerator programs in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing projects with cross-functional team members to deliver against business goals.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to speak and write in English and French or Portuguese fluently and idiomatically.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/careers.google.com\/jobs?src=Online\/LinkedIn\/linkedin_us&amp;utm_source=linkedin&amp;utm_medium=jobposting&amp;utm_campaign=contract#%21t=jo&amp;jid=\/google\/head-of-startup-success-and-services-lagos-nigeria-2775820076\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Google is not a conventional company, and we don\u2019t intend to become one.
