{"id":41751,"date":"2017-09-04T13:56:49","date_gmt":"2017-09-04T12:56:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=41751"},"modified":"2017-09-04T13:56:49","modified_gmt":"2017-09-04T12:56:49","slug":"prowox-nigeria-ongoing-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/prowox-nigeria-ongoing-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"Prowox Nigeria Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prowox Nigeria \u2013 Adequate and Skillful Solutions through Global Knowledge Based Business-Intelligence, powered with Prestigious &amp; Cutting Edge Technology Services.<\/p>\n<p>We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0GIS Software Developer<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PROWOX seeks GIS Software Developers who will participate in the design, development, testing, and documentation of systems for a Government of Delta State.<\/li>\n<li>The candidate will undertake geospatial development work with Microsoft Consulting on new GIS applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, test, debug and maintain an array of custom web based GIS applications, tools and supporting web services using standard software lifecycle processes<\/li>\n<li>Perform web and mobile application development using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AJAX for the Esri ArcGIS platform<\/li>\n<li>Provide support, troubleshooting, modifications, enhancements, and maintenance for existing GIS applications, scripts, tools and web services.<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain system related documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with ESRI products version 10.4.1 ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Azure or other cloud technologies<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of micro services architecture<\/li>\n<li>Support the infrastructure by maintaining and developing new capabilities in Microsoft .Net.<\/li>\n<li>Develop software in an agile development process by working with stakeholders to refine developed products.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Continuous Integration \/ Continuous Deployment (CI\/CD)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline is required<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of related experience required<\/li>\n<li>GIS or Microsoft Certifications in C#\/.Net and SQL Server \u2013 preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of experience in information systems development which includes systems analysis and design, programming, and documentation<\/li>\n<li>Experience in developing applications using JavaScript, JQuery and client side scripting tools and technologies. C# and .NET. Most widely used Visual Basic, HTML, XML and Flex. Reduction in the amount in aging Arc Macro Language (AML) and Avenue.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Web Services development<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of PowerShell scripting<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build shapefiles, file geodatabase, geoprocessing scripts in Python &amp; SQL Spatial<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Microsoft frameworks and tools like Visual Studio<\/li>\n<li>Should have knowledge in system development using Object Oriented Principles<\/li>\n<li>Should participate in Design\/Code and System review during Scrum development process<\/li>\n<li>Good written and oral communications skills and able to work in a team which consists developers with different skill sets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ancillary Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Programming \u2013 Writing code and automating redundant GIS processes.<\/li>\n<li>Spatial Analysis \u2013 manipulate, extract, locate and analyze geographic data, which includes buffering, clipping and exploring the relationships between map feature. (GIS Analysis, GIS Modeling, Data Integration &amp; Conversion, Data Analysis, Geocoding, Geomatics<\/li>\n<li>Database management \u2013 Storing and extracting information from structured sets of geographic data.
